Previously AddlestonesPremium Cloudy Cider.

Addlestones is a golden, naturally cloudy cider with rich, bittersweet apple fruit flavours and a smooth, rounded finish. Fermented twice and unfiltered, for a full-bodied flavour and distinctive cloudy finish, our cider is the same as it’s always been – beautifully smooth and delicious to the core.

September 14, 2014 - at Southwark Tavern - on draught. Cloudy and bubbly, pale orange gold with no head. Nice tart aroma - ripe apple and lemon sourness - background sweet apple; simple. Taste - sweeter, nowhere near the lemon - but okay. Sharp carbonation, moderate acidity, finishes quick with a bit of a dry tingle in the finish.

Cloudy, golden / light amber. Nose: Initially fresh, slightly sweet apples. But quickly something more cooked and yeasty takes over, even with a hint of burnt rubber. Taste: Quite fruity and rather dry, with some nice freshness (acidity). There is some bitterness here but it´s so well integrated with the freshness and the fruit that you might not even notice it as such. Medium to medium light body. Low carbonation. Long aftertaste where the fruity taste of fresh apples lingers on for a full minute and more. Surprisingly appetising and fruity cider from a big producer. The nose appears strange but the fresh and fruity taste and - not least - the long, fruity aftertaste are this cider´s best features!

On tap at the Green Dragon. Appearance - cloudy golden with a steady flow of bubbles. Nose - sweet but fresh apples. Taste - sweet apples verging on pears. Palate - close to medium bodied with a big tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - yeah, felt the need to have another so can’t be bad.

Keg at the Mermaid, Porth, Cornwall on 29/5/2015. Dark and cloudy yellow with a small white head (head? on a cider? wtf?). Baked apple juice with a little straw and garden fence. Medium-dry with just a hint of tartness, just a little roughness round the edges. Quite easy drinking though. Ok cider overall.

500ml bottle from Tesco. Pours hazy gold, thin white head. Nice to have a bottle conditioned cider for a change. Apple aromas, some sweetness. Taste has some tannin bitterness, light sour, light sugar sweet. Dry finish. Not bad.
