In a bottle. Pours a ruby - brown colour with a thin light tan head. Aroma of caramel, treacle and alcohol. Treacle and honeycomb flavours upfront with a little liquorice also. Moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Fair CO2 prickle also.

Pours a hazy medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty, hoppy, yeasty. Flavor is moderately sweet, alcoholic, roasty dark. Not nearly as good as some of the other Abbey Dubbels I’ve had recently.

33 cl bottle, brown body with a small head that disappears quickly. Sweetness in the nose (malt, caramel). A bit weird taste, sugar and a hint of caramel. Little carbonation. Not bad but nog outstanding.

Clear brown color, smallish brown head that dissipate in the glass. Sweet, malty taste. Sugar aftertaste. Moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Sweet malty scent.

Bottle 33cl from Altonbrownd thanks, anamber brown beer with low head. Nose is on caramel and slightly vinous notes. Aroma is malty, caramel like, sweet, burnt candy sugar, some dry grapes and over riped fruit hints, a good dubbel, pleasant.

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Light brown/rich red held up to the light with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet chocolate malty. Taste is medium sweet malty chocolately dubbel. Very soft in the mouth and just a touch of bitterness.

Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels. Deep amber beer with a very nice lasting beige head. Hoppy aroma, bready, sweetish,some spices. Malty flavor, toffee, vinous, yeasty, fruity, some hops. A pleasant dubbel.
