Bottled in Thembi in Mestreech, 6 months AFTER his date. Color is very dark brown, with quickly diminishing tan head. Aroma is malts and sweet. Flavour is malt, apple creme with a long spicey finish. I think the 6month extra aging took a toll on this one - to be rerated.

Tap at Moeder Fontainas. This was a very unusual dubbel, probably due to the unusual spice mix. It is sweet initially, malty, with caramel and treacle, along with something I couldn’t quite place (I guess the spices). Actually finishes drier, which makes it a bit more drinkable. Weird and I suspect may divide opinions, but I liked it.

Dark brown colour, reddish hue. White head. Light aroma, caramel, malts. Sweet flavour, caramel, apple, light malts. Quite light. Short finish.

33cl bottle. Colour is brown with medium tan head, that dissapears fast. Aroma is sweet, caramel. Taste is weird and a bit sweet. Flowers (lilac), fruits.

0.33 l bottle at Old Brick’s Inn, Jyväskylä. Reddish brown color. Perfumed and flowery aroma with heavy dull earthy scent. Sweet flowery, earthy and herbal taste with rose, citrus, raisins and dark candy. The spiciness is very controversial, flowery and rose like at one hand, dull compost pile at the other hand. Interesting to taste but I won’t buy again.

Bottle (33 cl) from beerplanet.be. Hazy chestnut with small beige head. Strange perfumy aroma on a background of nutty, caramelly, and chocolatey malt aromas. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Semi sweet, low bitterness.

Bevuta ieri sera per la prima volta! Non eccezzionale all’inizio, poi prenda quota nell’aroma e con in finale decisamente prolungato. L’odore e’ accattivante!

Bottled 330ml. -from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam as Adelardus Trudoabdijbier Dubbel. Murky pale brown coloured, small to medium sized beige head, dried fruits and spices in the nose. Light roasted malt, dried fruits and caramel with too strong spicy presence. Pretty ordinary dubbel.

Bottle. Dark brown coloured beer with a beige head that quickly faints away. Aroma of hazelnuts, spices and malts. Also some fruityness present. Flavour is full, unbalanced (too bad) but stays long on the tongue. Decent dubbel, could have become much more.

Donker bier uit een flesje. Ruikt goed en ziet er goed uit. De smaak is zoetig met een onaangename afdronk.
