4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 RedHaze (371) - Where the hell am I?, Nebraska, USA - JAN 14, 2007
Pours a hazy orange-copper, with a frothy one finger head that slowly settles to a thick cap, leaving behind a thick sheeting of lace.
Smell; coriander and cloves really jump out at me on the first few sniffs, and then some bananas and a bit of pepper.
Taste; the bananas come out a little more agressively in the flavor than they did in the aroma. Candied sugar with coriander and cloves are present, as well as some peppery spiciniess. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, adn very drinkable.
I picked up this bottle in Bastogne, Belgium, and now I wish I had picked up more than just this one bottle.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, mediumsized foamy head, some lacing. Aroma is orange, spices and yeast. Flavour is spices, oranges, alcohol and a bit marmeladeish. Yeast also gives a big "dryish" and quite earthy hints in the finish. The sweetness balances quite good with the yeast.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 rickgordon (3816) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 1, 2006
Bottled. Delirium Café.
Dark amber colour, good white head. Looks solid, yet dark for a triple. The aroma is strongly medicinal with vague buttery vinegar notes. Mouthfeel is astringent and papery, almost roughly harsh. Flavour is malt sweet and lacks depth, and the dry, papery bitterness is always there in the background. Butter/Diacetyl is there as well, I’m afraid. When poured with the sediment, it got slightly better, the awful harshness almost vanished. I don’t think this was a bottle problem, something must have gone wrong with the lautering and/or the fermentation.
