COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Black Rhino is an earthy ale with hints of coffee and cocoa that pours as dark as the name we gave it. Donít let the name fool you. This dark ale is surprisingly smooth and easy drinking. It pairs well with salty appetizers, bold musky cheeses, and wild game dishes

A deep dark color. Almost black. A robust taste with a thin finish that reminds me of frost. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle in Santa Barbara.

Gotta say I really donít get the hate for this one. Dark pour, mild smoke to make things interesting atop the mellow dark-roast character. Almost like a gentle smoked beer; I quite like it. Chocolate and sweetness is fairly background, and itís low abv contributes to an easy drinkability.

Pours a half finger of tan head on a black body. The aroma is lots of licorice, anise, some roasted malt and chocolate in the background. The taste has a nice roasty character, a little bitter dark chocolate. The texture is crisp and fizzy. Enjoyable.

glennmastrange (2652) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - APR 17, 2015
Bottle. Dark roasted and bready malts, light herbal and earthy hops and yeast. Head is average size, light beige, with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is very dark brown. Flavor starts and finishes lightly acidic with a touch of bitter in the finish. Palate is medium, slick with a lively carbonation. An easy drinking beer, just nothing outstanding in this Belgian Ale.

Aromas of chocolate, booze, and faint fruits. Body is murky black/ brown tinged, the head quickly dissipated into nothing. Flavor is belgian yeasts with slightly toasted malts, with a alcohol finish. Overall its decent enough.

750ml bottle c/o Elise shared at GTMW ticket line 2014. Unfiltered black-brown body. Foamy beige head. Medium bodied, roastier than most Belgians. Nice fluffy carbonation. Sort of like a Dunkel, belgified. Sweet and easy, rich, nice depth. Classic, well done.

Pours pitch black from bottle with tons of head. Smells smokey and a bit chocolatey. Med/light mouth feel with lots of carbonation. Taste is roasted goodness with flavors of chocolate and chicory. Sweetness and a little hop as well.
