COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Collaboration: Our first Gypsy recipe was created by Texasí first female brewmaster, Kim Clarke. Kim was also the only female brewer in Texas when she brewed with my father at the Celis Brewery in Austin throughout the Nineties. It seemed only fitting that she should be involved in the creation of our Gypsy brand, which will be the first product released by my new company. Kim and Adlebertís brewer, Scott Hovey, have produced a remarkable medium bodied beer with noticeable Belgian malt character. Itís a deep golden colored IPA crafted from Belgian yeast and features pronounced hops on the nose and distinct citrus notes. Weíre very happy with the initial results," said Christine Celis in a press release.

Batch 004 Bottled 1/13/2014 I had a bottle of this a few months ago and it was spectacular .... so much so, I bought every bottle I could find. This bottle is not quite as good as remembered, but still very good. It pours golden with a nice white head that lacings hold throughout the glass. The fragrance is soft and smooth .... if hops were roses. The flavor is a balanced hop without an overpowering hop, but prominent enough to state its case as an IPA. A well balanced beer with a floral nose tingle to add to favorites. Highly recommended. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden/amber color with huge white head. Aroma of citrus and pine from hop, and aroma of fruits from belgian yeast. Taste is malty sweet with fruity citrus notes and hops freshness. Medium body , moderate carbonation. Grapefruits bitterness in finish.

Surprisingly good. The aroma consisted primarily of citrus hops leaning toward the grapefruit side. The color was a tan orange like a lot of double IPAís with a good foamy head. The palate was light and crisp. Flavors were a slightly harsh citrus hop bitterness followed by a spiciness reminiscent of rye. The finish was slightly Belgian with yeast taking up the rear. Refreshing and easy to drink without being too heavy.

Location: Bottle from Central Market, 4/29/14, Batch #4, Bottled on 1/13/14

Aroma: The nose of this one is clean citrus hops, some light-medium spice, and some yeast
Appearance: A hazed orange beer with a large, frothy, creamy, lasting beige head and heavy lace
Flavor: The flavor is lightly sweet, with a medium spice presence, and a medium bitter close
Palate: The body is medium, it has a lively carbonation, and a dry, slightly astringent, spicy finish
Overall Impression: The aroma was my favorite part of this one. The components just donít quite get to that same point from a flavor perspective. One issue is that the spice overwhelms the citrus a bit. Another is that thereís a slight astringency that throws off the end palate/finish of the beer. Thereís some solid stuff here too, but the rest of the beer canít live up to the promise of the really nice aroma.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber gold with a thick off-white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has notes of light pine, light citrus and grass with a bit of Belgian yeast backing. Flavor has a combination of sweet citrus and grass with a bit of floral coming through from the Belgian yeast notes.

on draft .. murky dark amber .. solid foam .. muddled yeast and dirty grains. weak mouth. this probably would have been a whole lot better if it hadnít been brewed at adelberts..
íOoh, thereís a huge spider on your back. Iíll just stab it with this buck knife.í
Without waiting for the obvious thanks and praise. Nigel strides away happy at another good job done. Content within himself with the knowledge he may have saved the poor woman from a nasty spider bite.

Tap at flying saucer in san antonio pours bright hazy orange with a small eggshell head with little to no lacing. Nose is a little subdued compared to others. Lite pine resin floral aspects not much Belgian malt presence. Sort of a l eaffy tobacco note as well with some sharp cheese. Flavors are re sinous grapefruit large resin note but never becomes dirty. Very well balanced yet not all that exciting. Long bitter grapefruit finish. Bitterness only comes in the end and its not strong. Solid ipa
