COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Philosophizer was a common term used to describe Del. He often came up with the perfect solution to a complex problem while drinking a beer and watching the sunset. Don’t be surprised when you enter into deep philosophical debates after opening a Philosophizer beer. Philosophizer is a hearty flavorable reddish orange beer with natural spices, clean hops and a dry finish.

It’s almost there and the ratings just reflect that. Saison seems to be a temperamental style that’s tough to get just right. Hopefully this brewery will try again.

Musty house blanket describes this bestPoured a hazy golden colour. Thin white head. Nose is borderline sour. Slight spice across the palate. Not a great example of the style. Passable at best.

Bottle. Pours hazy gold with white fizzy head. Aroma of marvelous funk with a nice citrus and grassiness. Flavor is much the same and dry. Mouthfeel is light body and fizzy carbonation. Overall, a very nice surprise!

Bottle:   Batch 001, Bottle #1748.   Dark straw, thick and hazy, large sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Somewhat of a medicinal floral nose, a little barnish, musty, with some yeasty/bready notes.   That medicinal floral aspect comes out more on the tongue.   Slightly soapy, remains a bit barnish, musty as well as yeasty/bready.   Not as nice as the nose suggested.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Soft finish, remains bready/yeasty.   Tiz okay, spiciness comes out after the finish, but its muted... maybe a little corriander like spices.   Thanks for the chance at this brewery Bill!

Pours a cloudy orange color with a tall white head. Those nose has a pronounced spiciness to it, mostly clove and coriander, with a bit of white pepper. Some pears, apples, and banana give some fruitiness. Lots of sugary sweetness, too. The flavor is quite sweet and sugary with a hint of banana, apple, and pear. A light peppery quality, some spice, and bready malt. A little disjointed/all over the place, but not bad.
