2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Itís almost there and the ratings just reflect that. Saison seems to be a temperamental style thatís tough to get just right. Hopefully this brewery will try again.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Yellowish color, moderate head, decent lace/retention. Aroma is yeast, citrus, pale malt, spices. Medium to light bodied, somewhat dry. Kind of off for the style.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy orange color , big off-white head. Aroma of yeast and fruits . Malty taste with similar to aroma notes. High carbonation , full body. Not my favorite but very interesting brew.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cloudy light copper color, hazy, no retention (good), lotsa head bubbles off. Bright fruity esters in the aroma, bright apricot, ripe peaches, taste sort of matches--rich, somewhat creamy body. Lotsa nice bitter aftertaste, appropriate for the style, very nicely done.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This was one of the new bottles at my local haunt here in north Texas, and noting it was from our state capital I had to take one home. Dark golden pour with a good head. Citrusy smell-tastes thicker than it looks or smells-like a tripel...only almost. No one could deny it's Belgium quality. Although not spectacular, I'd drink again and love the fact it's brewed in Texas.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Type: 750ml (25.3 oz.) bottle
Glass: Fullerís London pint glass
From: Armada Wine & Beer Merchant in Santa Barbara, Calif.
Purchased: July 4, 2014
Consumed: July 5, 2014
Misc.: Batch No. 009; Bottled on Feb. 3, 2014
Poured an orange, hazy color with 5-to-6 fingers of rocky white head. Average amount of foamy lacing along the sides of the glass. Excellent amount of foamy retention on the top all the way down.
Smelled green grapes, peppery spices, banana, caramel, citrus notes, kiwi, honey, wheat, green apple and grassy notes.
Taste was more flavorful than the nose. Got green apple, caramel apple, green grapes, kiwi, honey wheat, citrus notes, peppery spices, banana and slight woody notes.
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Slightly fruity, abrupt finish.
Pretty decent for the style, but not worth the $11.99 price tag.

3.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Gift from ma. Well carbonated, unlike other adelberts beers this cork didnt explode but did have a great head. Pour was an expected funky, merky, and cloudy brown color. Nose is yeasty and fruity. Taste the same.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Never heard of Adelbertís, but ran into a bottle when wandering amongst the glass bottle minions that now define most beer sections in my area these days. You have to love this heyday of craft beer. I remember the heyday of the Internet -- in 1999, people walking by at the popular restaurant and youíd say "he just cashed out from coolidea.com and is now worth 100 Million" and we all thought we also had a shot at the gold ring.
Saisons are now in fashion, and this is a beer that makes me think of those days. The brand stood out -- understated, but with gravitas. When I taste this beer it is everything I expect from a Saison -- a bit of clove spice, a bit of earth leather funk, well carbonated, dry, extremely drinkable, and a great antidote to hops an malts that define many other beer styles. Whether or not Adelbertís will get the credit for this beer is up to the quality of their marketing and distribution and the rest of you.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A saison with a Belgian twist. Citrus, fruity and floral aroma. Slight golden color with a fizzy white head. Full but light palate with good carbonation. Typical sweet and fruity saison flavors with a hint of caramel and spice from the yeast. It goes down easy with a hint of alcohol.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle (750mL): Hazy, deep honey with thick head and excellent lace. Very lifted clean fruity beer. Off dry, not sour and medium low bitterness. Clean fruity palate. Lovely length, weight and fruity flavor.
Very sound. High alcohol and so too hot and not refreshing.
Classic over the top American Beverage when they almost had it right.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 c&c from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy gold with a large frothy white head. Aroma is spicy, grassy, citrus, earthy. Tickles the nostrils. Med body or better. Hits like a tripel, but ... Hmm.... Itís a spicy, earthy tripel sort of thing. Itís Belgian allover. Iím not sure this fits the alleged style, but itís very tasty stuff. Finishing like Grains of Paradise. And a sort of apple fruit ester. This is very unusual? Good tho!
