COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in fond remembrance of the family’s candy-apple red Rambler. Adelbert’s Rambler Ale evokes the car Del and his buddies referred to back in the late 60’s as the “GoMobile”. Back when life was freer and easier, the local cream ale was no stranger inside the Rambler as it hosted myriad road trips and hot dates.

Bottle 442 from batch 003 bottlesd on 12/1/11. Opened out doors, and it was an epic gusher. Cork propelled some 20ft in the air. Once poured the beer is a hazy golden hue with a foamy white head. Aromas are strongly chlorophenolic, medium isoamyl acetate esters, chlorinated water, mild malt, public pool, spicy, 4vg phenols, pretty messy. Flavors are bready, celery, chlorine, medium apple esters. Sharp and spicy phenols, mild DMS. Quite messy. Massive carbonic bite. So carbonated that it is very hard to swallow. Very messy beer.

Bottle. Pours a very rich gold with a high, creamy, off-white head. Fruit on the nose -- malic and a touch of tropical fruit -- and a definite phenolic note. Some sweetness on the tongue, but with an odd medicinal note; it reminds me, of all things, of London Dry gin, and I suspect that is not exactly what the brewers were shooting for. Finish is long and bitter. Something odd about this one.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy hay-colored yellow. Small head. Yeasty, soapy nose with unripe bananas and clove. Very prickly mouth feel....drying body and finish. Soapy taste, some metallic flavors....astringent finish. Meh.

Clear yellowish with an off-white head. Some lacing. Mild aroma of spice, bubble gum, soap, and toast. Taste is malty and yeasty, and a little bit chemical and metallic. Something isn’t quite right. Medium bodied and a touch creamy.

On tap at the Draught House during the RateBeer Winter Gathering. The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma has some citrus and floral notes from the hops, as well as some biscuit notes from the malt. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of toffee and biscuit malts, as well as a little bit of Belgian yeast and spice notes. There is also a little bit of orange citrus. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
