Bottle via rare beer club. Pours a beautiful, glowing body with white lacing. Aroma is dry yeast, lemon, clove and grain. Mouthfeel is medium to light with prickly carbonation and notes of lemon, yeast, spice, dry grass and malt.

Bottle at DadsThursday. 100th Abbey Tripel rate. Pours cloudy yellow gold with white head. Nose and taste of lemongrass, lemonpeel, yeast, banana and light wheat malt. Mild spicy yeast. Lighter medium body.

On tap at WOB in Arlington. Cloudy yellow with a decent white head. Aroma is of yeast, lemon, candy sugar, and clove. Taste has a burst of citrus with hints of candy sugar, clove, white pepper, and passion fruit.

750 ml. bottle. Pours a somewhat cloudy gold with a decent white head. Aroma of fruit, yeast, and spice. Taste is stone fruit, citrus, yeast, and spice. Pretty good.

From Rare Beer Club. A light hazy honey color. Really explosive floral taste. Manages to be effervescent and full-bodied at the same time. Very good tripel.

Bottle with some friends on New Years. Pours a lightly hazy gold with thin diminishing head. Nose of clove, pepper, funk. Medium body with a very dry finish.

Appearance: bronze-orange, clear at first then increasingly cloudy with subsequent pours; a near-white meringue of a head lasts quite awhile. Aroma: toffee, caramel, vanilla, honey, pepper and clove, with some herbal, lemony hops. Taste: light caramel, pear, honey, light citrus, spicy and peppery hop/yeast note. Finish: lingering yeasty bitterness balanced by a firmly sweet caramel and clove undertone. Notes: A surprising tripel, with a focus seemingly on caramel malts and yeast as opposed to the typical fruity and dry champagne type notes. Bottle from the Rare Beer Club.
