This complex, straw-colored ale has clove and pear aromas. A marriage of spicy and fruity flavors help perfectly balance its elegant malt profile. Pair with rich foods like steaks, roasts, earthy cheeses, and cheese cake.

Aroma of honey and perhaps unferme nted sugars. Pale golden. Sweeter than my favorite belgian triples. Nice palate

Aroma is very, very subtle. Small amount if honey in the background. Appearance is very good, nice yellow/gold. Taste: too sweet for a triple. A good bit of funk in the taste as well. Palate: medium to light. Not much carbonation at all. Overall: a valiant attempt but needs a good amount of work.

25.4 oz. Bottle from the wondrous Jamil. Bottled 5/18/12, Batch 002, Bottle 0030, drank on 10/15/12. Banana, sweet fruit scent with spice and a hint of clove. Straw/gold pour, hazy, with a bubbly white head. Light and bubbly feel. Banana taste with a bready goodness, and a spice clove finish. Delicious!

Bottle:   Seems dark for a Tripel, deep caramel, hazy, sudsy off-white head, little lacing.   Pale fruity nose, soft breadiness.   Pale breadiness on the tongue, a little fruity.   Very plain and simple on the nose and on the tongue.   Not real floral or bright.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Like thier Dubbel, its very average.   A little mealy, has a pale fruitiness to it, but it not bright, floral, or at all like a real Tripel.   Not bad, but not consistant with the style.   Thanks for the bottle Bill!

(750ml bottle during RBWG) cloudy gold, wispy white bubbles. Nose of candi sugar, beets, light gold raisin and a bit of funk. Taste of earth, lots of alcohol, candi sugar, overall a bit hot. Needs to mature, or the recipe should evolve.

750ml bottle from Mora2000, thanks Bill! Bottled on 1/10/2012, Batch #1, Bottle #1217. Pours a cloudy, orange-gold colored body with a thin, fizzy, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma is somewhat sweet bready malts with a decent amount of spices and fruity esters. Yeasty white pepper, pineapple esters, some earth, and musty cloves. Flavor is similar. Yeasty and estery up front with spicy pineapples and white pepper before a lightly sweetened bready malt backing comes in. Some clove towards the end before this finishes dry with a medium-light, earthy, spicy bitterness and a light malty sweet note. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a somewhat lively, moderate carbonation. Overall, a solid tripel. Spicy and dry with a nice malt sweetness and fruity ester. Not my favorite style, but this is a pretty good beer.
