This was more complex than I anticipated. Bready malt, Belgian spice, slight sour aroma. Oaky brown color with a decent head. This bottle had some age so some character may have changed a little. Medium to above-average weight with smoothness. Oak and slightly sour flavors but it didnít taste like infection. This was different than your standard Dubbel. Malty with little to no hops presence. Not a bad offering.

Tart cherry is exactly what this reminds me of. Not a huge head, and not sour either. 2012 vintage. Great bottle and a great find. Got it for 20% off retail, so no complaints. A great bottle, and one I could see developing if cellared longer. - pixels sent via Beer Buddy on iOS

A cloudy dark amber color with no head. It tastes of cherry, oak and a hint of wine. I was drinking the 2012.

Sample 11/5/13 (Whole Foods-Lamar)-Pours murky amberish brown with a small off white head. Aroma of bourbon and sweetness. Taste of sweetness, bourbon, and yeast. This full bodied brew is well balanced and quite tasty.

(750ml bottle, 2012 vintage) Pours a hazy golden orange body with a small white head. Aroma of oak, sour fruit, caramel, and toffee. Flavor of oak, soured by infection, yeast, toffee, and earthiness.

UPDATED: NOV 8, 2013 Ok I get it now Adelbert?s. You know what you?re doing. This is a lovely beer. The wine sourness and smell drive this beer. There is no head surprisingly it is lightly carbonated and that works to the beer?s advantage. Deep orange-brown color with ruby highlights. Velvet mouthfeel. Improves as it warms. ABV is well hidden. High recommendation.

Hazy orange pour with a white head. The aroma has some light tart raspberry notes as well as some toffee. The flavor is similar. The raspberries add some fruit and tart notes, while the toffee and yeast are also present. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
