Gold, nice head which disappears without a trace. Fresh malty aroma. Very bitter flavor, not so much malty as the aroma was. Carbonated mouthfeel. Unpleasant lingering finish. Looks good, smells nice but unfortunately fails on the final hurdles.

Plastic bottle. Golden color. cake dough in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with nasty bitter and vegetable by-flavors. Pity after the decent aroma.

A very watery beer, with little taste, but give me the pils instead, it has a little flavor at least. A pretty bad beer, poured the other five I bought so I can at least get my phand back!

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2005 (Plastic bottle 50 cl) 5.4% ABV in my version. A discount beer brewed for the German Penny-discount supermarket. Somehow it found it’s way to a shop in Frederiksberg. I haven’t seen it anywhere else. This is a rather rough and unsophisticated lager, decent golden with a decent head, but extremely bitter. 100504

A light orange beer with a beutiful head, though fast disappearing. The aroma is malty with notes of apples and hints of hops. The flavor is lovely malty and a good bitterness that prickles the tongue before it turns dry. The end is somewhat watery.

Plastic bottle. Very nice hoppy aroma. Fresh and crisp flavour. A fine german pilsener.

Reading the reviews and the fact that my can said 5.5% they might have changed the recipe. But still it´s not a beer to recommend. Avoid it, don´t waste your money. Very light skunky aroma. Pale yellow/golden color, small white head, few lace. Light, light bitter, light sweet, some chewing gum flavors. No finish at all, just gone.

i’m not quite as harsh a critic as some. bad german beer is still better than bad australian beer. taste of chemicals and very stale malt

This is worse than a drain pour. In fact, dont even dump it down the toilet - it might be bad for your pipes. Walk this to gutter and dump it there. I’ve only had one beer worse than this so far: Holsten Light (see my review). Smells like rotten eggs that someone farted on. Flat, aweful taste, and extremely thin. The Adelskronen NA (see my review) is much better. This leaves me asking if a I can get my money back on this – I got ripped off! Insulting! AND this is a Reinheitsgebot beer. Just goes to prove that the 500 year old list of ingredient does not a good beer make.
