COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Black bears can weigh 600lbs, sprint over 25mph and climb like a squirrel. They have terrible eyesight, yet can smell you 20 miles away especially if your packing fruity gorp and apples. Hey, to a bear, you’re just like a 180lb fruit bowl coming down the trail! Bear Naked Ale is an all natural medium-bodied amber ale with a brilliant copper hue. Top fermenting ale yeast and a high proportion of imported Munich malt create a clean and crisp beer with a toasty, fruity backbone. Don’t get caught with your pants down, drink responsibly.

I love this beer. It is one of my favorite beers out there. Very smooth taste with an amazing, deep after taste. Highly recommend it.

1/5/14. 12oz bottle thanks to JBVatkeens. Clear light copper pour under a small khaki head that fades. Mild caramel and butterscotch aroma, some metallic aspects, biscuity. Very mild flavor, hints of caramel, light fruitiness, more metallic aspects, otherwise quite bland, but not overly offensive. Not bad.

Bottle. Light copper pour with a thin white head. Caramel, grass, pound cake. Easy to drink and light but sufficient body. Smooth finish. Caramel throughout. Overall nice and well balanced everyday beer.

Not surprisingly, this is not the only beer named ’bear naked’ ;) Nice looking, handsome auburn with nice lacing pattern. My favorite color for beer. Nose is fruity and grassy. Taste is caramel, heavy malt notes, with a bit of hop dryness. Good beer for fall and watching football. Thanks for the trade Ron, I’m liking this brewer.

Bottle. Poured gold in color with a thin cream head. Aroma is a little toasty with just a touch of hops. Flavor is almost like an attempt to provide equal parts caramel malt, hop bitterness, and some toastiness. Non-offensive, but very different.

Bottle while hangin out by lake. Nose is faint of malt. Tastes if caramel, toasted malt, earth, and hint of florals. Kinda bland but fine enough

Didn’t wait for it cool down, oh well, grainy and. Malty, lightly bitter, it’s ok just a bit sub par

Location: Sampled at Tap NY, 4/27/13

Aroma: The aroma is fairly light, with some caramel malts, fruity notes, and mild hops
Appearance: This one pours an orange-amber color with a small off-white head
Flavor: The flavor is on the lighter side as well, with some light sweetness and light bitterness
Palate: The body of this one is fairly light, it drink decently, with average carbonation
Overall Impression: I thought this was an okay beer, but there wasn’t a ton going on to make it much more exciting than that. Fine is probably the best way to describe it.
