COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Black bears can weigh 600lbs, sprint over 25mph and climb like a squirrel. They have terrible eyesight, yet can smell you 20 miles away especially if your packing fruity gorp and apples. Hey, to a bear, you’re just like a 180lb fruit bowl coming down the trail! Bear Naked Ale is an all natural medium-bodied amber ale with a brilliant copper hue. Top fermenting ale yeast and a high proportion of imported Munich malt create a clean and crisp beer with a toasty, fruity backbone. Don’t get caught with your pants down, drink responsibly.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours hazy amber with a slight white head. Aroma of tart light stone fruit. Med body. Flavor is malty with some light fruit. Much more malt than hop, but it doesn’t come out all that sweet.

Light caramel among thin and dry apricot juice...No finish to speak of...Again no brewing problems except that lack of pleasurable taste...Which could be a problem when you want to have something else than soda...

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear gold with a white head that dissipated slowly to the edges and laced slightly. Aroma had a light grassy hop note with a nice bread a hay that made the aroma. Flavor was very similar with a malty heart and just a bit of underlying grass in the finish.

1/5/14. 12oz bottle thanks to JBVatkeens. Clear light copper pour under a small khaki head that fades. Mild caramel and butterscotch aroma, some metallic aspects, biscuity. Very mild flavor, hints of caramel, light fruitiness, more metallic aspects, otherwise quite bland, but not overly offensive. Not bad.

Bottle. Golden orange with a thin white head. Toasted malts, bread, crackers, light earth, and a light floral bitterness. Clean and really drinkable.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2008 Clear golden body. Very light pine smell. Light caramel and some shy hops. Boring. Draft at brewpub. So devoid of anything that it should really be called the Bare Naked Ale.
