COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beaver-Tail Brown is our American-style brown ale- despite its dark mahogany, color this beer is crisp and hoppy, due to a generous Amarillo dry-hop.

Pours very dark amber color. Has a very strong nose of hops which is unusual for a brown ale. Taste is strong hops mixed with caramel notes. Overall very drinkable and different take on a brown ale.

Keg, The Pony (UES), 19/02/14. Orange flecked ruby with a low off white top. Aroma of root veg, slight fart, malt loaf, cruciferous green. Flavour comprises cherry boiled sweet, some nutty raw broccoli-like hints; grilled pepper. Bitter but uninteresting finish without development. Cold and bland.

1/5/14. 12oz bottle thanks to JBVatkeens. Clear brown pour with a small khaki head that fades. Mild nutty and caramel aroma. Mild nutty and chocolate flavor, some caramel and biscuit. Not bad.

Bottle I picked up in lake Placid. Nice ruby red/brown pour. Some sweet malt and piney hops in aroma. Good malt body for a brown. Hops coming thru in the flavor. Enjoyable.

This is a pretty outstanding brown. Floral hoppy nose, mixed with a bit of maltiness. Thick full palate, roasted, chewy, complex. Really decent, and I didn’t see this coming. Thanks for the trade Ron!

Multiple samples @ Empire Brew Fest. Hazy brown color with a thick off white head. Nose is fruity hops and roasted barley. Flavor had roasted malts displaying the nutty and caramel flavors. The bitterness from the hops really shines in the finish. Citrus and line pine notes. Medium body with a nice clean finish. A nice hop forward brown ale.

Nevelig amberbruin met behoorlijke lichtbeige kraag. Aroma is citrus, geroosterd malt. Smaak begint lichtzoet, gaat over naar bitter. Nasmaak ietsje te bitter.

Pours a clean brown color with a finger of foam. The nose is citrus pine and round malts. The palate is the same with nice balance between hop notes and malty sweet undertones. Restrained and lighthanded and highly drinkable. Nice bitterness cleans up the finish !
