2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a clean brown color with a finger of foam. The nose is citrus pine and round malts. The palate is the same with nice balance between hop notes and malty sweet undertones. Restrained and lighthanded and highly drinkable. Nice bitterness cleans up the finish !

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Paula. Pours dark ruddy amber with a creamy beige head. Aroma seems citrus hop. Med body. Flavor is that lightly roasted malt common to "brown"s, but there is a very strong amount of hop bitter. Seems mostly citrus. Surprisingly tasty brown. New style: Brown IPA

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Poured a deep amber with an orange hue and a white head that dissipated to the edges and laced. Aroma was pine hops with a strong combination of earthy grains and a bit of a toast note. Flavor was similar with a lot of earthy malts and toast with a bit of pine in the finish. Didn’t do much for me.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a mostly clear deep reddish brown with a moderate tan head that lasted through the first third of the glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of caramel malt along with a few notes of fresh orange. The flavor is caramel malt, lightly sweet, followed by some moderate hops bitterness that retains some of the citrus flavor offered in the aroma. Medium bodied. This is a very nice brown ale that I would drink regularly if it were available near me. I’ll be picking up more on my next trip to Albany!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A - Pours a fairly clear light brown wit ha touch of red in it and a finger of frothy slightly off-white head. The head fades down to a ring around the glass lacing nicely on the sides.
S - Aroma is a blend of some sweet light roasted caramel malts and some rich nutty smells. Some pine and earthiness also in the aroma.
T - Starts out with some nice roasted sweet caramel flavors and some nutty flavor. Through the middle the nutty flavors get a bit stronger and some more roasty flavors come out. The finish is a blend of sweet caramel and just a touch of earthy flavor that lingers.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very smooth and crisp without being watery. Finish feels fairly clean.
D - Very drinkable. Nice and smooth and crisp. Really nice roasted characteristics and nutty flavors mixed in.
