Bottle, from Vroni’s in Bamberg. Amber brown, good white head and moderate condition. Malty bread, sweet coffee and good solid hops in the nose, malt heavy with a gentle roastiness in the mouth and low bready malt and a faint toasted note in the finish.

Aug 15, 2008 Updated: Sep 27, 2008Bottled at the brewpub. Pale brown, small head. Very vague roasty caramel aroma. Medium sweet with rounded mouthfeel. Slightly salty with restrained malt flavours and not much hops, neither aromatic nor bittering. Drinkable but all around restrained.

Dec 4, 2007 Light coppery colored, little yellow head. Earthy aroma with some toffee and hops, some lemon and weird berries also here. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is drier with still nice zwickel notes and some toffee, still not so rich flavor. Lemon in aftertaste with some cardboard. Aroma is better than aroma.

Nov 17, 2006 (Bottle 50 cl) Clear, amber golden with a creamy, off-white head. Sweetish aroma with a touch of burned caramel. Very soft mouthfeel. Medium body with sweetish, lightly caramelized malt notes and a weak edge of metal. Very discreet hoppiness in the finish. 091106
