draft at the brewery in Stettfeld. clear pale gold with a fluffy white head, pretty much the classic look of German pilsner but with a fainter hue. malt in the nose is straightforward toasted pilsner / crackery; hops are lightly grassy but more like sweet cabbage and sugar snap peas; low DMS noticed. light eggy yeast notes as well. light body, husky, rough toasted grain, saltine cracker malt and sweet, vegetal hop flavors. medium-heavy bitterness, overly bitter for the light body and low sweetness. oily finish. simple beer.

Bottled 500ml. -Yellow/golden coloured, small white head, some mild notes of hops in the nose. Sweetish malty, light hoppy and some odd herbal/fruit tea like notes in the finish. Probably bad batch...

On draught in the brewery’s Biergarten. A pilsner in the dominant Franconian usage, which is to say light, well hopped in an historical a sense and crisp-edged. Oh that all were like this.

(bottle) pours a clear yellow colour with a frothy white head. aroma of herbal hops and honey, fresh wort, earth and grass, with a hint of green peas and yeast. flavour is mostly pale malts and straw, slightly doughy, with a hint of dark bread crusts, lychee and a herbal-hoppy light bitter finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

courtesy of oh6gdx - cloudy dark blond beer with a solid white foam left; flowery and peanutty hoppiness; medium-bodied and with a low carbonation; moderate bitterness and a decent aromatic flowery finish

bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear golden yellow, large white head. Hoppy nose, quite herbal. Grassy-herbal hop flavours dominate, shy grainy malty base - rather elegant.
