2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
(bottle, from a gas-station in Eltmann, Franconia) Clear, yellow colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Grassy hop aroma that is detectable even from the distance with a malty background. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium body, but quite empty mouthfeel, low to medium carbonated. Soft malty base, shy hoppy taste; dry, minimal bitter and slim finish. Drinkable, but pretty disappointing for a Franconian Pils.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
draft at the brewery in Stettfeld. clear pale gold with a fluffy white head, pretty much the classic look of German pilsner but with a fainter hue. malt in the nose is straightforward toasted pilsner / crackery; hops are lightly grassy but more like sweet cabbage and sugar snap peas; low DMS noticed. light eggy yeast notes as well. light body, husky, rough toasted grain, saltine cracker malt and sweet, vegetal hop flavors. medium-heavy bitterness, overly bitter for the light body and low sweetness. oily finish. simple beer.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Hay and cream in the aroma. Light bitter hay-like flavor with vanilla, cream and some boiled milk. Malty pilsener, not really impressive, not really bad.

Bottle @ Fanø Tasting, 2010.
Pale golden, small frothy white head. Sweet aroma, malty and rather sugary. Thin and light mouthfeel. Weak flavour, fairly malty, sweet, light citric bitter. Not my thing.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled 500ml. -Yellow/golden coloured, small white head, some mild notes of hops in the nose. Sweetish malty, light hoppy and some odd herbal/fruit tea like notes in the finish. Probably bad batch...

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle (from Vroni’s): Straw golden coloured, thin fluffy white head; very shy malty nose with a tinge of grassy hoppiness from far behind; starts malty, thin malty flavour also; short, nearly non-existant bitter aftertaste; all in all watery and thin-bodied. No delight. Does here a small franconian brewer try to copy Warsteiner......?
