50cl buddel bb10/2016, tap at Tettnanger Hopfenwandertag 2016. - Smells like apricot peel golden barley lemonade, sweetish but inviting. Smooth golden pour, beigish hue. On point, lemonade, sweet citrus and a hint of ice tea underneath the smooth barley sweetness. Bitterness is on the cusp of Helles to Pils, while adding a fresh touch of Tettnang zest and pepper. Down in 3 gulps, and that’s not the thirst talking. Delicate hidden SW Pils gem with ideal abv for a session.

Getreidig hopfig herber Beginn, trocken, dennoch rund. Im Mittelteil sticht die Bitterkeit deutlicher hervor, grasig, wässriger Hintergrund. Etwas pappiger Mittelteil, noch laffer im Mittelteil. 9/8/8/7/8/7

Many thanks to kevnic2008 for this bottle! Best before 20.11.(14). Smooth and malty fresh beginning. Malty sweet with nearly no bitterness. Hints of crispness, easy to drink. More a Helles than a Pils. Easy to drink with a malty-sweetish body. Nice, but no Pils.

It’s golden with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt, apple and straw. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of malt, straw, flower - it seems a bit oxidated - both in aroma and flavor. The finish has a light bitterness.

500ml bottle (OPP, Helsinki. German Weeks 2009)
Slight pea aroma, other pulses. Decent gold, brief head. Full body, some plastic malts, some mustard comes through later in the aroma as it warms. Plusses and minuses, but I did volunteer to finish the bottle so it couldn’t have been that bad.

Bottled@One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma is mash, some berries and slight wood as well. Flavour is caramel malts, mash, a bit grassyness and also some grainy notes. Rather sweet, but still not totally bad.

Bottle (thanx to Quack-Duck!): A bit unclear, smaller, but stable lacy foamy layer; moderate, shy, but distinctive aromatic tettnang hoppy nose: wood, vanilla and almonds; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, quite light bodied, quite soft MF; light sweetish-aromatic hoppy finish with a rural touch. A nice rural, tasty Pils, almost of franconian character..............
