Tranquillity (1081), Espoo, Finland Oct 28, 2006 Bottle @ the German beer festival, One Pint, Helsinki. Sweet sticky clove aroma. The taste also has a malty stickyness to it. The beer is very sour, and it looks like mellow coffee. Quite average.
pivnizub (4007), Porúří, Germany Sep 3, 2008 Bügelverschlußflasche (thanks to the Lake of Constance): Hazy, light amber coloured, stable off-white head; light sourish-fruity nose with a caramalty background; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour with a light acidity, soft MF, light to medium bodied; fruity-sourish touch in the sweetish-malty finish. Possibly infected, nevertheless not too bad....... MoritzF (4019), Ruhrpott, Germany Aug 31, 2008 (bottle) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a fluffy but not very persistent off-white frothy head. Sweet and slightly yeasty toast-malty aroma with shy notes of caramel and light berry-fruity accents, apparently showing an early stage of infection. Light-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a fizzy carbonation. Toast-malty taste with caramel and notes of vanilla. Moderately dry and toasty malty finish with a light but balancing bitterness (26.08.08). Quack-Duck (1978), Bodensee, Germany Jul 11, 2008 bottle, bought at the brewery. Hazy amber-mahogany brown colour, large and creamy beige head. Malty nose. Full-bodied, sweet and malty with hints of roasetd malt, caramel, toffee and chocolate. Hoppy in the finish. Very pleasant creamy mouthfeel and lovely carbonation. Superb brew. FatPhil (2408), Espoo, Finland May 12, 2007 500m bottle (One Pint, Helsinki, German beer week 2006). Hard to describe. Sour and a little sludgy with some sticky maltiness and a mash of other hard to identify flavour hints.
