This Red Ale is brewed with a great selection of Australian hops varieties including Topaz, Summer, Ella and Galaxy which give the beer aromas of peach, lychee and tropical fruits. The addition of naked golden oats gives the beer a nutty flavour and wonderful rich smoothness, malted Rye adds flavours of freshly baked bread and it’s all rounded off with a crisp finish – delicious! What’s the Story? South Town Red Ale is a new collaboration cask beer, jointly developed by Adnams and Camden Town Brewery and brewed in Southwold by Fergus Fitzgerald, Adnams Master Brewer, and Alex Troncoso, Head Brewer at Camden Town Brewery. - See more at: http://adnams.co.uk/beer/our-beers/south-town-red-ale/#sthash.aZ1qs1Jc.dpuf

Un bon mélange entre les malts caramels sucrés et les houblons collants tropicaux. Agréable accompagnement à la jungle du Borough Market.

(Draught at Holborn Whippet, Holborn, London, 15 Apr 2014) Reddish amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of orange peel, grapefruit and rye bread. Malty, hoppy taste with citrus (grapefruit, orange), hints of rye, cranberries and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Fresh, tasty and highly drinkable. Actually very nice

Clear medium amber orange color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, apple, light hoppy. Flavour is moderate sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, sweet apple, malt, caramel notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20140416]

Cask, Charlies Bar. Klar og kobberfarvet, med et off-white, ikke voldsomt stabilt skum. Frugtig humlet næse med maltede accenter af kiks og karamel. Blomster-bitter i munden. Noter af brød og tropiske frugter. Rimeligt crisp, men med en let metallisk note, der ikke helt klæder en ellers nydelig britisk red ale..

Cask in the Horseshoe NW3. Reddish brown ale. Nice well balanced hoppy ale, some toasty amber malts and fruity bitter hops. Slips down well, nice. The extra hops elevate this above typical Adnams bitters.
