Two Cask Pints at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in July 2013 - Orangey Gold in colour. Very Hoppy; juicy piney resinous hops; decent hop bite. Very Fruity; oranges and grapefruit citrus, hints of tropical fruits. Malty; grainy malts, caramel. Moderately bitter resinous hoppy and citrus fruity throughout. Very drinkable. Liked this. Excellent APA!

Draught at the Kings Tun JDW. Golden yellow with thin bubbly head. Smell is musty mixed citrus hops and a sticky caramel background. Taste is bittersweet grapefruit, gooseberry and apple with a resinous drying finish. Leaves a sticky dried orange aftertaste. All quite toned down and subtle. Body is medium. A standard offering, nice enough.

Rochester JDW. This somewhat spoiled my breakfast, and also ruined the other half I was drinking, as I mixed them together in an attempt to soften the hop burn. This is not my thing. I like beer, not fucking hop juice. I despair of this sort of beer, and the fad for it which appears to be growing. I also like coffee with character, so I also despair of the current fad for either milky coffee or burnt coffee. Each to their own - and I suppose I should have known better....

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2013 Cask conditioned handpump Masque Haunt London 08/07/13. A golden beer with an off-white to grey bubbly head. Beautiful tropical fruity hops in here. Pale malts. Citrus notes are delicious. Very very tasty and very drinkable. I hoped this would be good; I heard it was good but actually it was much better than that. Score 4.2

Cask at the Moon Under Water, JDW - London. I finally tracked this sucka down! Pours totally clear gold with a staunch, foamy white head. Big dank hop nose, plenty of ripe citrus, a bit of orange, perhaps some dirty pine. Light to medium sweet flavor with lots of juicy hops, some dirt, nice lightly toasted bready malt backbone, ripe orange, melon, light urine, pine. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly resinous on the finish, lots of ripe and dank citrus, light bread, melon, orange, some lightly tangy tangerine. Really solid effort, this. Probably a Top 10 JDW beer for me.

Cask at the Willow Walk (JDW), 05/07/13. Clear golden amber with a decent white head. Nose is hops, light pine, grapefruit, candyfloss, mango. Taste comprises juicy hops, good coating of pine, caramel malt, bitter grapefruit, orange pith. Medium to light in body, soft carbonation, hop bitterness and pine shavings in the finale. Lovely stuff, one of the best hoppeeeee cask beers I’ve encountered, eminently drinkable grown up tropical fruit juice.

Cask at The Moon in the Square, Bournemouth, Dorset. A golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Nice fresh hoppy, citrus fruit aroma. Tastes so fresh, hoppy, citrus fruit, malty, slight bitterness. Two pints of this went down so damn quick after a day on the sunny south coast. Excellent fayre from Spoons.

Cask Lloyds Bar Carlisle. Exceptionally fresh grassy hop aroma leading to a great sharp grapefruit taste. Intense bitterness increases with a lovely prickly sharpness on the back of the throat. Some gooseberry and spruce flavours only add to an exceptionally well made beer. Great stuff.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons, a cheeky cellar run. Hazy gold with slight head. Slightly flabby still but with a definite sharp grapefruity flavour, hoppy and dry, a definite American hop note. Very decent.

Cask @ The Counting House JDW. Hazy amber brown, good foamy head. Cereal hop aroma. Grapefruit hop flavour. Citrus aftertaste. A decent hoppy pale ale. Did not expect to find something like this brewed for JDW.
