A very drinkable red beer. Good colour, goes down smoothly. Tasted a few weeks ago, so not sure of all the details

Pours a dark brown with a fluffy off white head. Nose is orange peel, caramel, slightly toasty. Flavor is bright citrus up front, into some caramel and some belgian esters. Finish is slightly roasted with a dose of citrus bitterness. Medium body. Pretty good.

Jado (549) - Camp Hill, AUSTRALIA - JUN 18, 2014
From pint bottle. Pours a deep mahogany with reddish highlights at the edges and a foamy but diminishing cappuccino head. Aromas are stewed fruit - currants, raisins, baked apple - along with some hay, caramel, dark bread and oddly a touch of bubblegum and banana. Taste is dominated by the same stewed fruit notes at the front, amped up by a restrained orange zest bitterness. Hints of caramel and more fruit at the end, although it does fall away pretty quickly. Body seems a little watery for the style, but still tasty.

Brown with head that dissappears fast. Aroma: soft, caramel, hops. Taste: sweet, caramel, light hops. Easy to drink and tasty.

DutchDrebus (4152) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JUN 13, 2014
Bottle at Benzai. The Netherlands just beat Spain with 5-1. This might or might not influence this rating a little bit. Brown colour with a small to medium sized beige head. Smells malts, sweet, somewhat hoppy, some raisins, decent. Tastes sweet, malts, raisins, fresh, a bit watery. Thin body, soft but nice carbo.

Benzai (8549) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUN 13, 2014
Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Nice deep dark red to brown color, average sized off-white to beige head that leaves good lacing. Not a lot of aroma. Taste malts, lightly caramel, a nice moderate bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Quite like this one.

CanIHave4Beers (3322) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - JUN 3, 2014
Pours a deep reddish brown color with a good sized head and nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is malty, with some leafy hops, some red apple, a light sweetness and a bit of earthiness.

The flavor has a zippy bitterness throughout that’s really nice. It’s got a light toffee character and some nuttiness. The roast character is fairly well muted but fits in nicely with everything else The beer is neither especially dry nor sweet, but fairly well balanced. The alcohol character is certainly noticeable but not of any annoyance.

Pours darkish amber with an off white head. Aroma is sweet malty and cakey with a hint of cherry. Medium body, medium carbonation. Malty loaf, brown bread, toast, wood, leaves, lemon, figs, light rum. Really not a bad drop.

Bottle. Pours a dark mahogany color with a rather large head that fades to ample lacing. Aroma of malt, toffee, dark fruit and bit of citrus. Taste of malt, toffee, bit of yeast, dark fruit and touch of spice. Malty bitterness and a lingering aftertaste. Medium body, coarse texture but enjoyable. Good English beer.

Moravius (530) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAY 29, 2014
Flasche (50 cl). - Sehr dunkles Rotbraun, klar.
