On tap at Nags Head Inn, pours dark copper / amber with a beige head. Aroma of light English malt and subtle dried fruits. Flavour is very subtle, with English malts, almonds, fruity notes and spices on the aftertaste. Smooth palate, though underwhelming.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Golden brown with a thin cream head that laces the glass nicely; aromas of caramel and malt, but also a trace of overboiled vegetables; thick, creamy, carmal flavour with some toast; and a earthy finish with some sweet roasted nuts. A pleasant ESB.

Terrigar (14) - Basildon, Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 5, 2011
Pint, Moon on the Square (JDW) Basildon, Essex. Deeply tan to cornelian coloured with a lasting but barely clinging oatmeal head. Bread and toffee then toast and caramel with a slight banana note towards the back of the mouth, nice. Bitterness is a little uncomplicated mostly aloes and not very hoppy really. Struggled to get as much malt as I would have liked. For its strength, a little skinny.

Leighton (4087) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 18, 2011
Cask somewhere in London. Pours a clear, rich garnet with a medium, white head. Mostly malts, bready malts and caramel in the aroma. Flavor is nicely sweet and well balanced, with lightly toasted bread and caramel, followed by some mild, earth and leaf bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Malty finish with some drying hops and hints of ripe fruits. Very nice beer overall.

Cask at the Dartmouth Arms, London NW5 on 19 October 2010. Reddish copper with white lacing head. Hops and spices both in aroma and general in-mouth phase. Rich hop, notes of sage and cheesy yeast. Grassy finish and some sweetness. Light mouthfeel.

OleR (3642) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 14, 2010
UPDATED: SEP 15, 2010 Full pint, handpulled from cask@White Horse on Parsons Green, London. Thin, dense off-white head. Bright reddish amber body with good clarity. Sourish-scented, soft malts at first. Then a light berry-ish fruitiness and a whiff of dusty hops. Much of the same flavorwise; light sour malt flavor. Some toastedness, some canned fruits, and some dusty and earthy hops underneath. Soft in the mouth due to the low carbonation level. Finishes dry. A more than decent one, but I’ll prefer the stonger and more lively bottle version.

Cask at The Nags Head, Belgravia, London. Deep amber pour with a smallish head. Fruity aroma. Tastes quite rich, fruity, sweet, malty. Had this many times on cask and quite like it.
