Lovely hoppy fruity aroma. Dark brown. Looks like a proper ale. Undertones of caramel and fruit but with a hoppy punch. Fine drink! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark red beer with a bubbly head. Very light fruit scent. Flavour is fruity with malt but is a bit watery and lightweight given the strength. Drinkable but is, surprisingly, a disappointment compared to the bottled version.

Dark red in colour, hardly any head retention at all. Citrus bittering followed by malty caramel and some biscuit. Pretty bog standard and nothing special.

Handpumped @ White Horse (London). Brownish amber with a medium off-white head and some lacing. Aroma is of caramel, mineral/earthy notes and fruity presence. Taste is slightly malt (breadied malt) with toffee, mineral/earthy notes, fruity presence and a light but sticky bitterness. Light/medium body. Moderate carbonation. Mild, but still tasty. Drinkable aplenty and thirst quenching. Well executed!

Cask. At a shitty Wetherspoons in Birmingham. Anyhow. Appearance: ruby red, thick creamy off white head. Almost looks nitro. Aroma: sweet, dark fruit, lots of malt and some grain. Flavour: fruitcake and a hint of cake spices (nutmeg and cinnamon) a lot of malt and a nice prune and malt finish. Not bad.

Cask@ Blue Stoops Chesterfield. There,s something I just love about ruby coloured beers and this one is no exception. A beautiful berry flavour with a nice balance of hops and bitterness which simmers for a while before taking off. Couldn,t get enough of the stuff and can,t wait for it to return to the bar. Excellent beer.

Cask at Wetherspoons, Streatham. Pours a dark amber with a slightly off-white head. Aroma is sweet with caramel, a little dark fruit and a hint of lemon. Medium body, mild carbonation. Caramel, a little dark sticky fruit and some orange. There's also a slightly metallic taste on the finish which sticks around. OK, not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
