Cask at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) A clear ruby brown colour with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with caramel, fruitcake, berries and alcoholic scents. Taste of caramel, biscuit, fruitcake, dark fruits, nuts and some spiciness. Medium bodied and a smooth but oily texture. A soft, fruity finish. An overall good beer, full of flavour.

Deep red to light brown colour. Foam is just right for a cask ale. Sweet fruit caramel aroma. Taste is similar: dominated by fruitness with very light red wine notes some british hop light bitterness in aftertaste. Overall its closer to old ale IMO.
