| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 31, 2007 Poured to a brown color with hints of ruby red, with a thin off-white head that lingereed midway and left okay lacing. Aroma was muted, but slightly nuts and caramel. Flavor was somewhat malty sweet, and while body was fairly creamy, any true flavor was diifficult to ascertain. Although only 6.3%, the alcohol made itself known toward the end in both aroma and flavor, and the palate and finish were just so-so. Not a bad beer, but not great either. jason (1621), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of malt, very strong, with caramel and a nutty feel to it. Flavor is sweet but smooth with a nutty character to it but slightly sour(but not in a bad way). Enjoyable. Mostly a caramal malt aroma, with a touch of nuts and hops. Full bodied and smooth initially, imparting sweet caramal flavours. Moves through to some bitterness and some sweeter fruit flavours before finishing slightly sour and chocolately. Pretty good, better than the version on cask. faroeviking (6023), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands
