500 ml bottle. Thick creamy light brown head that clings well to the glass. Deep red colour. Rich fruit and berry aromas. Light raspberry maltiness. Crisp, but light, hop flavours at first, then a rich berrylike malty flavour. Very smooth and soft texture. Drying finish. Quite abrupt finish.

I dunno, I just had to pick this one up, it looked interesting. After my recent trip to Scotland (Edinburgh), this is actually somethign I could have foudn on tap. Pours with a light white topped head. Crispy bite, with a nice malt and low hop balance. Colors near a true apple cider and Pepsi. The malt is very detectable on the nose and is not as bitter as it is on the tongue. Generally a plesant beer, but I’m sure it would creep up on you after a few pints. (Bottle Pour 10/14/2006)

A creamy head over a fine amber beer. Paradoxically, this is a more subtle beer than the weaker Adnams Bitter. Fine fruity aroma, nutty flavour and a finish of grassy hops.

This English Strong Ale pours a deep copper color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is cherries, malt and some wood. A medium bodied strong ale. Malts are caramel and sweet, hints of raisins, dates and brown sugar. Hops are earthy and floral. Lively carbonation. Strong malt finish. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Golden brown with offwhite mostly deminishing head. Aromas of cherries and a hint of flowers. Sweet malty flavor with more cherries and some copper. Seems a little jammy on the mid palate, but finishes of mostly dry.

Burnished copper, with beautiful, abundant, cloud-top tan head, settling into a sticky, meringue-like mass. Brown sugar, creme brulée, strawberries and marmalade. Full-flavored, sweet and gently citrus malt. Soft, rounded palate. Robust, full flavors, yet within careful balance. All around good!

An exciting aroma with cherries, sweet nuts and a little caramel. Pretty creamy and soft palate, which gives a good impression right from the start. Very malty, but not roasted. Beautiful taste with cherries and raisins. However, these tastes are not dominating completely. The alcohol-taste is also obvious, and the beer is great hopped. The nuts can only be notified vaguely in the taste, but this is probably a good thing that keeps the beer from being too sweet and complex. The aftertaste is at first marked by a great bitter hopping, but it dissapears pretty fast to let the cherries dominate for a while. Then an unfortunate acrid taste is appearing. A big shame. Someone, please make the brewery remove this acridness. It would be near to the perfect brew without it.
