A lot of foam from the bottle, be prepared after you have opened it! Some bread, medium sweetness. A litlle dry. Quite long finnish thewolf (5635), Kolding, Denmark Apr 8, 2006 Great red-bown colour with great (staying) brownish head. Aroma is of cherries and malts. It has a soft feel but not that much body. Tate is hoppy to begin with then changes to sweet and fruity. It ends up on a high note with nutty flavours and a new bitterness. cheeta (858), Langå, Denmark Apr 6, 2006 A malty, fruity aroma. Huge creamy off-white head. Excelent fully lasting head. Cloudy body, brown color. Heavy initial flavor. Good palate. I like this beer. dj (418), Gloucestershire, England Apr 6, 2006 Updated: May 26, 2007Bottle, 500ml. Average sized off-white head. A malty, fruity aroma. Dark amber colour. Clear orange coloured with a medium sized off white head.
Aroma of caramel and overriped apples with notes of alcohol.
Flavour of caramel and fruits. frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Mar 23, 2006 Honey-hazed, mahogany/brown with a creamy, khaki head that ends as ilsands and thick lace. Aroma profile similar to the <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/adnams-suffolk-strong-bitter/12/18655/>SSB but not quite as sharp, enhanced by a caramel malt presence. Buttery mouth with mid-bodied fullness. A sweet edge of caramel complements the bitterness of English hopping. Savory to finish. Very good.

jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA Mar 16, 2006 From a shaped 1pt. 9oz. brown bottle with a short blurb about the ale and a best before date on the back label. Poured a cloudy bronze hued caramel brown with a foamy. bubbly topped pale tannish head that reduced to a sticky thin bubbly lacing, moderate carbonation. Had a aroma of apples, raisins and currants with a buttery malt background. A slick, textured medium bodied mouth feel, above average drinkability. A big malty taste, toasted barley, buttery carmel, with a ripe dark fruitiness and a mild hop bitterness in the middle, a slight alcohol burn in the palate and a sweet fruity finish.
