pivo (2535), Germany Apr 20, 2005 Sweet malt in the nose with a little vegetable aroma, chesnut color, sticky foamy low head. Caramel, candy malt - sugary. Light but broad bitter - fairly strong. Hops a bit stale. Medium body. OK beer. hughie (3018), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Apr 20, 2005 Nothing to look at but an appealing fruity aroma with a hint of old leather. Warm, expansive taste with a surprisingly late bitter hit. The second bottle was even better. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England Apr 18, 2005 Bottle. Despite significant increase in strength over cask version it lacks the richness and depth of flavours I enjoyed on cask. Overly toasty finish with crystal malt. pilsnerrogge (1770), Finspång, Sweden Apr 16, 2005 Amber red colour, Rich head. Fruity malt-aroma with a touch of berries. Smooth, somewhat nutty, malt flavour. Nice, dry finish where the alcohol add some extra bite.
