A fine, heartwarming English Beer, rich in flavours of malt and hops.

Sweet malt in the nose with a little vegetable aroma, chesnut color, sticky foamy low head. Caramel, candy malt - sugary. Light but broad bitter - fairly strong. Hops a bit stale. Medium body. OK beer.

Nothing to look at but an appealing fruity aroma with a hint of old leather. Warm, expansive taste with a surprisingly late bitter hit. The second bottle was even better.

Bottle. Despite significant increase in strength over cask version it lacks the richness and depth of flavours I enjoyed on cask. Overly toasty finish with crystal malt.

Amber red colour, Rich head. Fruity malt-aroma with a touch of berries. Smooth, somewhat nutty, malt flavour. Nice, dry finish where the alcohol add some extra bite.

Red Coloring with Big Off-White Frothy Head. Fruity and Malt Aroma with a Slight Alcohol Twinge. Sweet Malt, Dry Hops Taste...Creamy Heavy Mouthfeel with Noticeable Alcohol Warming. Subtle Taste. Drinkably Nice!

Pour is a deep red with no head. Aroma is fruity and malty. Flavor is plum and prune with a hint of nutmeg. Lots of subtle things going on with this brew. Lots of malts and fruit flavors to recomend this brew.
