| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 30, 2005 Smells very fruity, with caramel and spicy hops - very English, a little oxidized sherry/cardboard. Hazy ruby brown color, decent off-white head. Lots of caramel and ripe fruit in the flavor, although it seems a little watery, on the sweet side, a bit of roast malt and alcohol in the finish. Medium-full body, moderate carbonation. Good strong bitter. WISEGUY572 (1252), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 29, 2006 Enjoyable. Mahogony body, great light brown head. Toffee and dark malts, with restrained but fully adequate British hopping. Sweetness has notes of plums and chocoolae, but nicely offset by the hops.. guzzler67 (1289), Hanover, Maryland, USA

Poured a medium sized frothy ivory head that contained fine-medium sized bubbles that mostly dissipated. This beer was carbonated, transparent and the hue was mahogany. The aroma was malty, caramel, sweet, fruity and some alcohol. The flavor was sweet, malty, and light hops. There was an aftertaste observed with this beer. The mouthfeel was smooth and the lacing was sparse. brewshthereen (316), Oregon, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 19, 2004 Rich, carmel malt aroma. Toasted bread, nuttiness in the nose as well. Pleasant hop sharpness followed by a full malt backbone. Carmel, honey and toffee flavors. Fantastic bitter/sweet palate. Not a real complex beer, and even though a bit watery it is still a satisfying brew. Skip (206), Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2004 Deep red color and an aroma that is fresh and balanced between malt and hops. The taste is dry and rich with a medium-full mouthfeel. The cream-colored head is well-formed and well-retained. Not great, but a very pleasant beer.
