Beautiful colour. Glad this has been brought to Ontario. mullet2007 (158), Newfoundland, Canada Nov 20, 2008 Pours a hazy deep brown bordering on burgundy with a creamy 2 finger tan head. Lots of lacing. If nothing else, so far, it’s beautiful to look at. Smell is faint, a little bit of spicyness actually. A little bit more roasted malts than caramel malts, and a tiny bit of hop bitterness. Nice smell, but a bit too faint. Flavour is nice, some faint dark fruits, and tiny bit of hop bitterness. Some nice strong malt flavours there too. Carbonation is low, but nice for the style, and it’s pretty chewy. Very nice beer. floydian1 (10), FNQ, Australia Oct 31, 2008 Bottle. Nice dark amber colour with a moderate lingering white head. Fruity nutty aromas. Quite sweet on the palate but finishes with a nice dry bitterness. More sessionable than its alcohol content suggests.. A fine English strong ale. mightynev (12), braintree, Essex, England Oct 28, 2008 28/10/2008.
