Radek Kliber (3270), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 5, 2008 Bottle at Smokeless Joe 500 ml
Appearance: Pours as clean, darker shade of amber with premium, thick tanned top. Nose : Fresh, soft hop character , light fruit side with twig , sweet malts add aromas balance. Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied ale , top clean bitter British hops , light brown with some earthy side. Alcohol strong was well build into formula. Sadly midlle of palate was a bit flat. Dough malt with hint of rye paired with bitter hop coat of alcohol.
kukukakikakekq (2), Indonesia does not count Jul 2, 2008 Rich aroma with malty base and sweet fruity overtones. Nice amber color, generous carbonation. You might like it on some days, but it can be too heavy on others. (the problem is the slight stickiness which surrounds everything like a puffed chewing gum) azlondon (454), Greater London, England Jun 26, 2008 Updated: Jun 27, 2008Appearance: Brown-red, good amount of head.
Aroma: Fruity.
Taste: Smooth and fruity.
Info: 500ml bottle, 31/8-2005, 7/300, 4/500 RileyOBaba (31), , Ohio, USA Jun 25, 2008 This is a classic . Hard to find now but one of the last in my stock. I only wish I could get this in cask. Hope it becomes available again. Dary ruby beer pours into a rocky head which subsides nicely. Inproves down to the bottom. Does not disappoint emerica56 (432), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Jun 6, 2008 The color is a cloudy brown with a redish tint and a thin head that fades rather quick. The nose is nice and malty with a nut finish, you can also detect some hop bitterness. The flavor is nice and sweet and has a minor tartness. You can taste some dark fruits but they are not overpowering. The finish is nice and bitter and that tartness stays with you for quite sometime. overall it is a nice and refreshing strong ale. BlackDonald (610), On a beer trip all over the USA, California, USA Jun 5, 2008 This is a decent alebit lighter take on the style than I normally go for, but it is definitely sessionable at best. has some sweet fruitiness throughout with some rich caramel malt, with a hint of herbal hoppiness coming through in the finish.
