Tasting notes and ingredients We’ve used lots of hops from North America – Columbus, Centennial, Cascade, Amarillo and Citra – because we just love the delicious, big, bold, citrus and pine flavours and aromas they bring to the beer. To balance out all this hoppy goodness we’ve added Rye, plus some Pale Ale and Cara Malt, to imbue sweetness, body and balance as well as some lovely subtle toffee flavours. Want to know more? The recipe for our Rye IPA was created by Adnams brewer (and certified hop freak) Belinda, who was excited to be able to let her passion for American craft beers shine through in this flavoursome brew. Jack Brand Rye IPA is available for a limited time in 30L kegs in selected outlets. Food Matches Pair our Rye IPA with spicy Mexican dishes or hot Caribbean flavours.

Can from Tesco. Pours amber coloured with thin whitish head. Aroma hoppy with some resin and toasty notes. Sweetish caramel with metallic aftertaste. Nothing special.

Looks nice enough, smells OK (not memorable) but doesn’t really deliver on the flavour. Quite dry finish with not much else going on. The hops used in this beer are some of my favourite and headline some of the world’s greatest beers, but here they do very little other than impart a generic hop taste and alot of dry bitterness. The malt takes a back seat given this is a rye IPA. OK but rather dry and uninspiring

Piwo w kolorze ciemny bursztyn dosc klarowne z niezbyt intensywna biala piana tworzaca tylko obwodke na szkle. W aromacie lekko chmielowo, cytrusy i slody zytnie. W smaku rowniez zyto wybija sie na pierwszy plan, jest troche karmelu i nut sosnowych. W smaku dosc slodkie z wysyceniem na niskim poziomie.

Buenas intenciones que se diluyen como hielo al sol. Poco centeno y bastante rollo industrial. Sin más.

It has a nice smell of hops. Apperence was golden with a creamy, white head. Here the fun stopped. Did expect more out of the rye, spicyness was not present, and the finish did leave a lot to the imagination. Slightly bitter finish.
