COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tasting notes and ingredients We’ve used lots of hops from North America – Columbus, Centennial, Cascade, Amarillo and Citra – because we just love the delicious, big, bold, citrus and pine flavours and aromas they bring to the beer. To balance out all this hoppy goodness we’ve added Rye, plus some Pale Ale and Cara Malt, to imbue sweetness, body and balance as well as some lovely subtle toffee flavours. Want to know more? The recipe for our Rye IPA was created by Adnams brewer (and certified hop freak) Belinda, who was excited to be able to let her passion for American craft beers shine through in this flavoursome brew. Jack Brand Rye IPA is available for a limited time in 30L kegs in selected outlets. Food Matches Pair our Rye IPA with spicy Mexican dishes or hot Caribbean flavours.

Can. Amber with large beige head. Aroma of wet cloth or ditto dog along with spruce and resin. Sweet caramel malt flavour with bready notes ending in a sharp yet subtle bitterness. Bland flavour overall and a bit watery. I’d rather have the old Ølfabrikken Rug IPA.

Linnet (1197) - Karlstad, SWEDEN - APR 1, 2015
Lightly hoppy (for Being in the American style), citric, pine, grapefruit, bready. Amber colour, medium beige head, lacing. Medium bite, mid-sweet, aromatic, but lacking real depth. Light body, average carbonation, short sweet finish. Not that interesting.

Pours with a deep red tint and crystal clear, nice looking beer. The aroma is definitely of american hops for sure, just a bit to muted for my liking. The taste is more towards the bitter side instead of juicy. It is alright for a IPA though. Can from SB.

Pours clear deep amber with a little white head, good lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit, and later resin. There are hints of iron and garlic here. Low bitter finish. Despite the obvious flaws, this is till ok, somehow.

Can, 330 ml. Truly spicy features, more "edge" than a usual IPA. Medium bitter finish.

jookos (3080) - FINLAND - MAR 24, 2015
Bottle. Amber clear. Piney, pine needle, English herby hoppy nose. With a dark (as in spicy, not roasted) malty feel, dry bread, rye bread. Med full bodied, round bitter, dry finish. Malty, bready, bunch of caramels too. Bit hollow though. Clean, nice flavours, and somewhat alive. But falls a bit short in the middle. A clean, bit hollow, rye IPA.
