COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tasting notes and ingredients We’ve used lots of hops from North America – Columbus, Centennial, Cascade, Amarillo and Citra – because we just love the delicious, big, bold, citrus and pine flavours and aromas they bring to the beer. To balance out all this hoppy goodness we’ve added Rye, plus some Pale Ale and Cara Malt, to imbue sweetness, body and balance as well as some lovely subtle toffee flavours. Want to know more? The recipe for our Rye IPA was created by Adnams brewer (and certified hop freak) Belinda, who was excited to be able to let her passion for American craft beers shine through in this flavoursome brew. Jack Brand Rye IPA is available for a limited time in 30L kegs in selected outlets. Food Matches Pair our Rye IPA with spicy Mexican dishes or hot Caribbean flavours.

Extremely hopy, pine and grains. And yes, punchy and caramel! Can not detect rye at all. Clear copper, little bit watery but nice.

Bottle, 5%. Refreshing caramel aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Good stable tan head. The flavour is spicy and slightly roasted with a good grassy hoppiness. Well-balanced.

Bottle. Pours clear copper brown with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of rye, yeast and hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with notes of rye and estery and fruity touches. Bitter, hoppy finish. Low carbonation. Medium to thin body. Not bad for the style, and not but in general, either.

Full bodied with plenty of spice & bitterness. Caramel on the nose with some grassiness. Lots of flavour for the ABV - a pleasant surprise. Rated by BrewTom

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly harsh grassy, old leafs, harsh hops, grass, bark, soil, pine needles, caramel malts, minerals, soap. Taste is dry resiny, bark, old leafs, harsh hops, pine needles, sap, soil, alcohol, grass, minerals. Medium bitterness, harsh watery mouthfeel. Meh!

Bottle at the Square Peg, Birmingham. Cut down the middle, like a battenburg. Half a nice, sweet APA, with nutty rye. Half an earthy red UK bitter. Pretty good either way, but doesn’t hit the craft IPA heights. Highs.

Clear copper, frothy offwhite head. Good hoppy aroma, fruity with caramel and pine notes. Flavour has hoppy bitterness, smooth with malty caramel and roasted notes. I can only detect very slight hints of rye. Simple but nice.

Bottle @ Clothiers Arms, Yeadon. Dark amber-red with a thin bubbly head. Caramel and spices in its nose with the former prevalent in its taste too which is fused with the rye. Very interesting ale.
