kwik-lime (160), London, England Jul 15, 2008 Didn’t enjoy this much, very gassy for an ale. Nicer as the pint went on and left a fairly standard golden ale. Not fantastic imo. maeib (3816), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Jul 12, 2008 Bottled. A clear golden/copper coloured headless beer. I’m grateful to previous raters for spotting the lime jelly in this. Absolutely spot on! Some grass and tea leaves also. This might just be the most disappointing Adnams beer I’ve ever had. A bit too chewy and husky, and not enough hoppiness. Nice idea, poor execution. DruncanVeasey (1533), Burbage, Croatia Jul 8, 2008 This actually holds up quite well as a beer, and not just a concept. Inviting lemon and lime jelly aroma developing a rub of hopleaf and the faintest whiff of barnyard. Suits me fine. Clean, lemony and grassy with some nutty pale malt and maize-like softness on the end. Hops present, quenching and good. It’s a ludicrous comparison, but Westy Blond springs to mind. Prefer it to some of Adnams cask bitters. Way better than expected. azlondon (463), Greater London, England Jul 1, 2008 Appearance: Golden brown. Little bit of white head.
Aroma: Sweet, quite fruity. Some malt.
Taste: Sweet, malt. Some hops. Quite standard.
