harrisoni (5109), Ashford, Kent, England May 1, 2008 500ml bottle from Tesco. Biscuit and subtle citrus hop and a bit of dusty hop on aroma. I think I like this. The hops are zingy and sherberty. Really rather hoppy for a UK bottled beer. Might need a second bottle for a better idea. I like it, especially this fresh lime hop finish. imdownthepub (3995), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England May 21, 2008 Bottled, 500ml, pasteurised from Tesco, Banbury. Gold with white head. Well I’m a bit of an Adnams fan too, but I don’t really get this beer. Very lagery in construction, pale malts, quite sharp, grainy, there is a faint lemony hop, but the whole thing is a little watery and bland. Not one I would look to buy again. Anyway what is carbon efficient about pasteurising a beer, why go through extra processes to kill the beer? It looks like a bit of a gimmick to me. maeib (3917), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Jul 12, 2008 Bottled. A clear golden/copper coloured headless beer. I’m grateful to previous raters for spotting the lime jelly in this. Absolutely spot on! Some grass and tea leaves also. This might just be the most disappointing Adnams beer I’ve ever had. A bit too chewy and husky, and not enough hoppiness. Nice idea, poor execution. leaparsons (3878), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Aug 17, 2008 Bottle. Golden with a small white head. Aromas are sweet biscuit malts with definate lime as previously noted. Light floral noted but its the acitidy that wins through. Flavours are sweet grain with tea. Soft lime towards the finish. KimJohansen (3026), Copenhagen V, Denmark Aug 8, 2008 Clear golden with tiny white head. Sweet fruity aroma with floral notes. Sweet fruity flavor with floral hops, caramel and grainy notes.
