COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special for the JD Wetherspoon Spring 2014 Festival.

This new, amber-coloured ale showcases English hops and has been brewed especially for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival. The fruity, caramel and light floral aroma leads to a prominent hop profile, balanced by a good malt presence.
Hops used: Admiral, English Cascade, Landlady

Crosse Keys Spoons. Light haze on this tawny amber beer, small bubbly pale cream coloured head. Palate is dry with fine carbonation. Dry malt. Light spicy ester. Bitter twangy dry hops, well buried. Finishes dry. Too dry and one dimensional.

Cask conditioned handpump Stick Or Twist Leeds 14/04/14. A dark brown coloured beer with a russet hue and an off-white head and lace. Pleasant fruity hops and slightly toasty malts throughout. A nice body. The darker malts blend nicely and itís not too sweet. Itís not brimming with flavour but itís pleasantly drinkable.

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Red with a small white head. Toffee then an earthy bitterness. Dull and unimaginative; quite astonished something so boring came out of Adnams given how good theyíve been in recent years. Meh, possibly heading towards bleagh.

Cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 31 March 2014. Poured a clear amber, with an off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of redcurrents, brown sugar and an almost Belgian-esque yeast. Gentle malty flavours, some slight spice and flowery hops. Finish was toffee, grain and hop resin.

On gravity at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol, March 2014. Deep amber with a slight, white head. Sweet, bready malts, some hedgerow fruits and a moderately bitter finish. Good.

Good looking beer with nice head retention and lacing. However, up on tasting this beer it makes me feel like a passive smoker sat by a dirty ash tray.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Chestnut with white head. Quite a malty beer, bready and fruity with a light tang to it. Some bitterness later, doesnít really go beyond this but itís fine.
