Rusty copper hue with a fast dissapating head. Light hoppy aroma. Light malty taste with a fruity, citrus finish. Malty flavour develops in the mouth long after you have sipped the beer. A pleasant enough bottle.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2006 Another great blonde beer produced by a brewer more wont of brewing up more traditional ales and bitters for our enjoyment, but the Suffolk country bumpkins/inbreds at Adnams do a deuced fine job, if I may be permitted to thus say. Golden gold in colour and a sweet refreshing citrusy taste. Best suited to summer drinking, slightly chilled. This beer is so good, I could drink it!

500ml bottle from Tesco. Golden amber colour. Quite a blast of resinous hops here - seemed rather more pronounced than the cask version I’d tried before. Perhaps the extra alcohol also contributes to giving the bottled version more punch. The US hops do come through but, on the nose, its more tropical fruit, peaches and pear drop sweets than floral character, although the aroma is not hugely pronounced. More hops on the palate, with orange zest coming through strongly. Sharp, spicy and a little acidic on the finish. Some might find the lack of balancing malt off-putting but I thought it was a decent, assertive, thirst-quencher.

500 ml brown bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 5.5%. Brewed with American Chinook and Columbus hops. Golden colour, large foamy head. Pleasant hoppy aroma and flavour, both with notes of citrus and dry white wine. Bitter finish. Okay beer, but I’d like the malts to come through too.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2006 [Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival] Clear pale amber. Sulphury vegetable nose. Medium sweet with clean mouthfeel and notes of herbs and nutmeg. No bitterness. Not good.

From bottle. Aroma of fruit but also a little chemy. Yellow dew with good carb, very thin head. But has a look that could tempt a pit bull from a bone. Nice bitter taste with hops. Suprislingly smooth. Not really my type of beer and has a weak taste but I enjoyed this beer.

Honeyish gold blonde brewed with Chinook and Columbus hops. Apparently. Some bitter, grapefruity notes and a rounded body, but a bit of an anti-climax.

Bottled. A copper coloure beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma shows signs of hops but there is a tinny and soapy undertone. The taste again has a good measure of hops and there is a nice balancing malt quality. However again this soapiness rears its head. This, I am sure, would be a lovely beer fresh and cask conditioned, but the pasteurization has spoilt it somewhat.
