2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
A bright golden amber is the body, the fine carbonation is thick and heavy as it rises towards dense, half inch pad of white. Head holds and daubs menacing rings of white down the glass. Aroma is tinny, reminiscent more of P.O.R hops than Chinook or Columbus. Dull note of sodden cardboard doesn’t help much. Slight tangerine taste too it up first. Caramelised sugars and burnt orange juice mingle, some toasted malt breathes in heavy. Carbonation is very light so the body builds and gets a bit heavy. Vine-clipping like bite to the swallow, a happy median is found bitterness-wise to balance it. Finish is rather short, a little fruit tanginess and bitter hops in there, all on the low-down. Not much more, though it is all in check and goes down with ease I can’t see this as much of much at all. The aroma, or lack of, is a let down, and the flavour needs to be pimped up to make it more exciting. But atleast it looks good in the pint.
I’m not much for butchered pasteurised and filtered British beers. (50cL, 22/08/07, Jandakot Liquor)

Shared 500 ml bottle at Cardinal. ABV is 5%. Clear light golden with a white film. Sweet floral notes and light malts on the nose. Smooth and light bodied. Mellow sweetness and a more prominent bitterness.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Asda. Pours a sort of sparkling copper colour, not exactly blonde. Malt aroma, trace fruit. Thin malt flavour, some fruit and medium bitterness. Starts off feeling fairly fresh and pleasant but there is a burnt sugar character probably due to pasteurisation that weighs it down and makes it feel sickly. Not too good.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From bottle. Aroma of fruit but also a little chemy. Yellow dew with good carb, very thin head. But has a look that could tempt a pit bull from a bone. Nice bitter taste with hops. Suprislingly smooth. Not really my type of beer and has a weak taste but I enjoyed this beer.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Slett ingen dum blondine.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle. A fluffy & slowly disappearing white head, medium in size, atop a clear yellow body. Slightly grainy, lemon & summer berry aromas. Again the berry on the tongue with a floral note & a zesty, though moderate bitterness. Fairly light & crisp body with medium carbonation.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Smells and tastes like a bog standard lager (in my book) and this sample is looking a little tired despite the Feb 2008 BB. Pours a treat ; big ice cream sunday head, fluffy and thick. Mainstream lager notes to smell and they lack appeal. Flavours are thin and tired; industrial beer malts and low bitterness. Really quite crappy.
