| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 29, 2006 Rusty copper hue with a fast dissapating head. Light hoppy aroma. Light malty taste with a fruity, citrus finish. Malty flavour develops in the mouth long after you have sipped the beer. A pleasant enough bottle. Joeh (1908), Buckinghamshire, England
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 3, 2006 Bottle from Asda. Pours a sort of sparkling copper colour, not exactly blonde. Malt aroma, trace fruit. Thin malt flavour, some fruit and medium bitterness. Starts off feeling fairly fresh and pleasant but there is a burnt sugar character probably due to pasteurisation that weighs it down and makes it feel sickly. Not too good. The aroma is plainly dry and the flavour is caramel, slightly dry and off bitter. Overall a fairly standard beer. imdownthepub (5190), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 23, 2007 Bottled, pasteurised, 500ml. Orange gold with white head. Adnams are one of my favourite breweries and this was given to me at a meet the Brewer night, so I wanted to be generous, but it has nowhere near the character of the cask beer, it is sharp and a little tinny and for its ABV, somewhat thin. There is a reasonable hoppiness on the finish, but I did expect so much more. evilsoc (191), Wales
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 13, 2008 Looks lagered. Light amber, not much aroma to speak of really. a sweet chewy herby honey orange mouthful thats nice at first but nothing comes in afterwards to wash it away. a good ABV. It would not be good with less. In hindsight I may have had it too cold but i doubt i’d give it another chance.
Many reviewers from down under seam to be getting stale tasting bottles. I didn’t have any problems like that. rlgk (3378), Vårgårda, Sweden
