COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular.
Introduced in 2004 as a summer seasonal in East Anglia and London; became a regular beer from February 2006.
Ingredients: Pale malt. Columbus and Chinook hops; Columbus in the copper and Chinook in the cask.
A golden bitter suffused with the aromas of a grapefruit grove. The massive citrus attack will burst on your palate allowing all the flavours of the imported New World hops to deliver their fruity bitterness. Adnams is “Exploring” new ground by sourcing interesting new hops from the USA.

(Cask@The George). Pale yellow color, small white head, some lace. Dish water lemony aroma. Grassy, a bit herbal flavor. Uninspiring.

A Mes rate: cask at the March Hare in Cheadle Hulme.
Glorious clean bright gold with a good white head. Slightly sweet on the nose but with lots of cardboard and with some strong vegetable notes. The aroma is pretty awful to be honest. Thankfully the flavour is better. Just. Decent enough malty base with a slight biscuity character plus a fairly unexpected hit of hops. I mean there are actually detectable. But that’s about it. Faintly bitter finish with some more cardboard. Dull but not offensive other than the aroma.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2014 Cask conditioned - handpump - Queens Arms Orlingbury A golden beer with a whitish head. A lovely beer with excellent hops throughout the nose and the mouth. Great marmalade flavours. Did not think these were Chinook and Columbus, seemed more English. Lovely flavours though and a treat to drink, even though it was vastly sparkled. Score 3.7
Subsequent ratings scored 3.1, 3.1, 3.8 and 2.8. Average becomes 3.3

Much more impressed with this than the bottled version. This beer didnt agree with pasteurisation. Yellow blonde. Uplifting floral hop aroma and flavours with lightly spiced caramel.

Nose of grapefruit, lemon, malt and hops. Pours a deep golden orange. Taste is refreshing with grapfruit and lemon dominating. More maly than summer beers. Leaves a dry finish. Nice.

Draught (Castle Inn, Cambridge) Fruity, hoppy aroma - apple and peach. Light amber, loose head. Pleasantly hoppy with a caramel, sweet finish. A bit flowery too.
