Commercial Description:
Bottle. Filtered and pasteurised.
"Adnams Explorer is a light and refreshing blonde beer, with some citrus notes and grapefruit aromas. Fantastic served chilled. Adnams Explorer captures the spirit of discovery by blending Chinook and Columbus hops from the New World. The best in traditional brewing with a contemporary edge."

(Bottle from the Co-op, Long Stratton, Norfolk - it’s 5% though not 5.5%, they knocked it down a while back) Pours an amber Golden with a large White head and lots of fast bubbles - a good looker. Fresh hop smell with citrus, lemon, some grass - a fairly strong pleasant aroma. Creamy head and bitter hop taste with lots of grassiness and a little citrus. Slight sweet but finishes moderately bitter. Fair carbonation. A good fresh lighter tasting ale, great for summer.

23 Oct 2006 - Very light roast malt aroma. Clear brown amber colour, lowish head and lacing. Sweet easy malt fruit and ash flavour. Hoppy tangy and light fruit finish. Another english cigarette ash hop finish/aftertaste. Perhaps this beer goes well, with a pub full of cigarette smoke.

Amber colour, with good lasting head. Looks, smells and tastes like a bitter, no better, but no worse.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, as well as ligth notes of straw, while the flavor is sweet with notes of malt, elderflowers, and fruit, as well as light notes of malt. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle. High fluffy and lasting white head. Clear golden amber body. Powerful barley malt hay straw aroma Sweet at first, later on bitterness takes over. Does however seem a bit waterty. Low carbonation, short aftertaste.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear deep golden with a small, off-white head. Lightly sweet caramel aroma. Medium body, sweetish caramel and fruit with a whiff of yeast. Dry and bitter finish. 200309

(Bottled) Clear golden-copper with a small, firm and lacy, white head. Witbier-like aroma of lemony hops, wheat and some yeasty spiciness. Flavor has a Belgian Blonde feel with yeasty fruitiness, pale malt, pear notes, and flowery-grassy hops. Almost medium body with medium, slightly foamy carbonation. This was quite a surprise despite the creepy "Serve chilled" in the label... along with Seriously/Criminally Bad Elf, one of the most Belgian brews from England so far. I kinda like.
