Commercial Description:
Bottle. Filtered and pasteurised.
"Adnams Explorer is a light and refreshing blonde beer, with some citrus notes and grapefruit aromas. Fantastic served chilled. Adnams Explorer captures the spirit of discovery by blending Chinook and Columbus hops from the New World. The best in traditional brewing with a contemporary edge."

Bottle, courtesy of John White. Copper gold, thin shortlived white head and gentle condition. Initial toffee maltiness and buterscotch, some earthy hoppiness and developing fruitiness that has hints of peach and honey. Full bodied in the mouth, quite chewy with plenty of sweet toffee malt and fruit. Solid hop notes contribute more fruitiness and a developing bitterness that also has some slightly burnt malt characteristics. Finish is quite long with hints of toffee and fruity hops.

Sample at TFOB ’08 from the bottle. Medium orange, small white head. Decent aroma - sweet, citrus. Taste is sweet as well, but light enough to be refreshing. More hops than I was expecting. Good stuff.

[1529-20080712] 500mL bottle. Sweet caramelized pine needles aroma has a leafy malt tinge. Clear, medium orange body with a small quick foamy white head. Sweet grainy caramelized malt flavour. Light-medium body. OK, if a little boring.

Bottle (500ml) shared with HogTownHarry at Volo. Pours a clear golden-orange with an average size diminishing frothy white head. Aroma’s sweet,a touch sugary, along with light floral hops, some fruit and a hint of vegetal notes. Flavour, also sweet, of caramel malt, grain, a bit of honey and a light bitter finish. Average bodied. Nothing great but it’s alright.

Bottle (500ml). Shared with blankboy at Volo. Clear amber pour with a large fluffy sticky white head. Floral clover aroma, slightly dusty and spicy - the taste seems quite honey-like, very sweet, with floral bitterness in the finish not quite catching up to the caramel. Average body, slightly rosehip astringency, with a quick sweet finish. Refreshing, if too sweet, and fairly unmemorable.

Bottle@Home. Hints of citrus and hop in the aroma. Golden color, white irregular head, fair lace. Malty, light herbal/floral, light bitter, some citrus. Medium body. Refreshing and clean.
