COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - mid October to end February. Not on the brew schedule for 2006, so current status uncertain.
An easy drinking traditional style ale. Clean and refreshing yet dark and mysterious, Fisherman is a deep coppery red, conjuring up roasted nuts and dark chocolate, with a lingering taste of liquorice and dried fruits.

Brown with a tan head. Roast and cara in aroma. Roasted coffee, toffee in flavour. Dry clean finish. Medium bodied. Good.

(cask)My first experience with an old ale with such a low alcoholvolume. Funny and very good as a sessionbeer, I think. To me it was a mix between a dunkel and a bitter. Easydrinkable, but with tones of tar and peat in there somewhere, made my looking for my southwest a once. dark rubyred, no head. low aroma of earth and malts. Taste was as above, light, but with dark impressions.

Cask at the Gaslight Pub and Brewery. Deep orange brown, cloudy, tan head. Aroma of apple, cinimon, apricot, peach, and perhaps other fruits. Full malty fruity palate. Fruity finish. Peaches and apricots. Lots of flavor. Slight coffee note. Light and drinkable. Me likes!

Cask @ The Green Man. Lovedly colour on the pour and pleasant toffee like nose. There is a good mouthfeel in this one with a fine after taste of malt and caramel. Certainly better than a number of cask beers around.

Handpulled cask at the Wenlock some time ago. A dark brown ruby tinted beer with caramel and malts in the nose. The taste is very malty with coffee flavours. Nice hidden alcohol.

Dark brown, almost like UK porter. Touch of salmiak, roasted, pears (?). Almost chewable palate. More malty than hoppy, even though you definately can taste the hops. A surprising beer from this brewery.

Draught. Dark brown, creamy white head. Relatively sweet, but some roasty, rich notes. Malty, not very bitter. A good autumn/winter beer.

Sobchak (131) - Skagen, DENMARK - DEC 24, 2005
(Cask, The Wharf, Aalborg) - Dark reddish colour. Roasty, malty nose. The taste is predominantly malty, but with some interesting fruity notes in the background, leading into to a dry, slightly bitter finish.

A bit darker than the Broadside and appears about the same. The bitterness is a bit overwhelming when consumed alone; would be good with some sort of roast.
