Ghost Ship is a ghostly pale ale which takes its inspiration from Adnams 600-year-old haunted pub, The Bell. Brewed with a selection of malts - Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara. We use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours.

Butilka: deep golden to light amber coloured, hazy, small and stable and lacy off-white head; mild but distinctive piney hops in the fruity and malty nose; dryish bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied and a bit tart; slightly lingering dryish hoppy-fruity finish. Decent, but not too exciting...

Bottle, gift from Andrew. Clear copper body with a thin white head. Aroma of blood orange, autumnal pot puri and passionfruit. Flavour of red apple, toffee and a lemony finish. Crisp bitterness. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. A lovely beer - I’ll be looking out for this in cask.

From a can. Pours clear gold, lasting thin head, nice hop punch, a very pleasant surprise.

Geez this looks good in the glass. A radiant, gleaming deep amber with a tidy inch of snow-white foam. The head holds high and weaves a thick, messy lace. Passionfruit and pineapple dominate the nose with a little pear drop candi and lychee fruit - tangy and ripe. Oooh, what happened? This is intensely dry and parching; like chewing on sawdust and chamomile. There is a bitterness to it, quite weedy and acrid with plenty of length. Really grips. Vegetal also, which is off-putting. The body is light but with soft carbonation gives off that it is much bigger than reality. Low, straw-like malt tones. Not really altogether a refreshing ale. Too dry. Bottle at home. Medium high creamy white lasting head. Clear and good looking dark amber body. Solid malt aroma with straw and caramel notes. Mildly hopped roasted malt caramel with fruity notes, low carbonation and a short sweet finish.
