COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ghost Ship is a ghostly pale ale which takes its inspiration from Adnams 600-year-old haunted pub, The Bell. Brewed with a selection of malts - Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara. We use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours. Bronze Medal Winner at The International Brewing Awards 2013, Silver Medal winner at the 2014 International Beer Challenge and Gold Medal Winner at The Indie Beer Can Awards 2014 (Contains barley & rye). Available (pasteurised) in 500ml bottles and 440ml cans.

Can. Clear, golden orange pour with a large, frothy white head. Lots of citrus on the nose, balanced nicely with hops. Flavour is surprisingly hoppy, an a little metallic with decent citrus notes. Overall a little watery and not hugely flavourful, but balanced and pleasant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A bottle at Tehnolog’s dogs, shared with Ivan. Thanks! Cloudy golden, lasting off-white head. Very aromatic, herbal hops, herbal spices, leaves. Sweet and malty. Some biscuit. Light body, soft carbonation. Drinkable, but light. Light herbal finish.

An excellent Pale Ale. Very, very pale. An excellent flavour, complex & subtle, hops++, citrus, grapefruit. Thus far I’ve only been able to obtain Ghost Ship in cans and they seem to have had a problem at their cannery, many of the cans ’gush’ upon opening.

Amber beer with medium foamy head. Strawberry, lemon on the nose with a hint of marmite. Strawberry and cream taste, biscuit, caramel and hints of grass. Light bitter finish. Smooth palate. Good but slightly too creamy and needs more bitter hit.

Served in a tulip glass from a 500ml bottle. Pours a clear dark golden colour with a big and creamy white head with good retention leaving medium lacing behind. Aroma is refreshing with clear citrus, grapefruit and hoppy notes. At the second sniff some grass and herbs creep in. Taste is pleasantly bitter-sweet with grapefruit, pale malts, orange zest and a touch of pine resin. Medium carbonation and light body with a pleasant bitter finish. Very drinkable and refreshing. Nice one!

M: Light body and average carbonation. Pale malts followed by an herby and fruity aftertaste.

A very serviceable traditional pale ale. Modestly fruited, dry, mild bitter hints late. Really easy to slurp.

0.5 l bottle from K-Citymarket Ruoholahti, Helsinki. Nice head with clear amber ale. Taste has malts and hops but as strongly as in a bitter. This has also something else which I think is the water. Quite mineral taste. No, this is not a Golden Ale or Bitter this is really an English Pale Ale.

Bottle from Tesco. Polished. Relentlessly effective. Great sappy sticky British twang. Crisp, bitter, flavoured all through the tongue zone. This was good news for the face sac. Liked.

Bottle at Stuntney Social Club. Golden brown, clear, without excessive visible carbonation. Floral smell but also quite eggy, not the glorious hop scent that can be produced by cask. Bittersweet, biscuity and fruity taste. Well-carbonated palate. Rather have the cask but it’ll do.
