COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ghost Ship is a ghostly pale ale which takes its inspiration from Adnams 600-year-old haunted pub, The Bell. Brewed with a selection of malts - Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara. We use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours. Bronze Medal Winner at The International Brewing Awards 2013, Silver Medal winner at the 2014 International Beer Challenge and Gold Medal Winner at The Indie Beer Can Awards 2014 (Contains barley & rye). Available (pasteurised) in 500ml bottles and 440ml cans.

Bottle. Pale amber with a residual head. Aroma is a little hoppy. Taste is hops and citrus, the hops produce a bitter finish at the end. Average body for a bitter. This is a well balanced golden ale. Even though Adnams produce good beers I wasn’t expecting this to be as good as it was.

Pours clear, medium amber. About a half finger of dense tan head. The Citra hops are quite prominent in the nose. Bittersweet, grainy flavor. The rye adds a nice spicy finish. Not bad.

Clear amber with thin tan head of mixed-sized bubbles. Very hoppy aroma, esp. from the Citra, also a bit soapy. Taste is not as hoppy as aroma, and nicely offset with a bit of grain. Mouthfeel is a bit soapy. The hoppy aroma and the soap make it not as much to my taste.

500ml bottle from Ken Warne grocery store, Darlington. Deep orangey golden colour, frothy white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of tropical fruits, floral, lemon-lime citrus hops. Taste is malt, caramel, grainy & slightly bready, fruity, with floral citrus, hoppy, and tangy bitterness. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry earthy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.
