Ghost Ship is a ghostly pale ale which takes its inspiration from Adnams 600-year-old haunted pub, The Bell. Brewed with a selection of malts - Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara. We use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours. Bronze Medal Winner at The International Brewing Awards 2013, Silver Medal winner at the 2014 International Beer Challenge and Gold Medal Winner at The Indie Beer Can Awards 2014 (Contains barley & rye). Available (pasteurised) in 500ml bottles and 440ml cans.

440ml can - Quite expensive for a caned real ale at £5 for 4 x 440ml (comparison Speckled Hen is £4/50 for 4 x 500ml) but very tasty for a can with none of the flavour lost. A dry grapefruit taste with a slightly biscuit finish. Was well pissed off when I realised it was a 440ml can but the flavour goes some way to make up for that.

Ambar limpia. Escasa espuma. Aroma lupulado muy floral. En boca malteada en base, notas de frutos secos y predominio floral, miel, y uva. Para acabar con un final bastante amargo. Cuerpo moderado y gas escaso. Rica. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle from Tesco. Deep golden colour, tall white head and a promsing hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, good malty base with hints of orange peel and marmalade, lots of good aromatic hops that add more citrusy flavours. Well balanced and truly delicious.

Bottle at home. Orange / light amber coloured pour with a small off white head. Aroma is light caramel, some spicy hop, Smokey, orange rind. Flavour is nice layered nutty, light caramel, spicy citrus, spicy hop. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation. Decent.

440ml can. Aroma. very faint, but i can just smell some citrus. Appearance. a nice bronzed apperance with a slight haze. Taste. some nice citrus flavours, with a backing of white grape. Overall. A very watery and fruity beer, great beer to session on.

500ml bottle, P-Worm haul by Sheffield D&M. Damp orange peel, dry honey, tea leaf aroma. More leafy Earl Grey, rye caramel, lime peel in taste with an untypical lingering zesty finish, reminding me of a more toasty malt-studded Liberty Ale. Excellent dryness. Big fan of sub 5% ice tea-like ales like this.

500ml bottle, pours clear amber gold, small white lace. Light malts, citrus hop, light bodied, thin texture, a bit too sweet for me but quite nice

Aroma is sweet tropical fruits, taste is sweetish malty tropical fruits, mango mostly, I seem to remember this was hoppier ie more bitter, also a bit watery I think but still very good.
