COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Originally a special but was made permanent.
Note: The original version of this beer used Pale Ale malt, Crystal malt, Munich & some Wheat malt and the hops were specified as Columbus, Chinook & Citra.

At 4.5% abv, this Pale Ale has a good assertive pithy bitterness and a malty backbone. It is brewed with a selection of malts – Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara – we use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours.

Cask at Churchkey. Clear deeper amber for style. Weak head. Nose is cigarette, tree sap, apples. Taste is cigarette ash, apple, mealy, lightly bitter. Dusty, dry palate. Clean finish. Easy to drink.

Cask. Unclear golden like colour, small white head, short lasting. Malty bit citrus fruity like aroma. Ok mouthfeel. Flavour: mild fruit and citrus with malt.

Nice honest to goodness beer. Pours golden. Smells citrus with the hopps smell smashing through your nostrils as the under current. Tastes firm with slight fruity notes and caramel with a nice bitter cut off. Goes down well.

On cask @ the Haymarket. Pours golden with a nice head and some haze. The nose is grassy and citrussy. More lemon and grassy notes on the taste. The palate has a decent structure for the style, probably medium in weight with a creamy texture and a nice refreshing finish. For a fairly large regional brewer, this is a well crafted beer.

Half in Fighting Cocks in Moseley. Had a roast too, wasn’t bad. Ordered 2 puddings, they bought us 3. Complained and he said sorry, here’s your money back for overcharging, keep the extra pudding. I did. I ate it. It was nice. Apple and strawberry crumble with custard. I like custard. Pudding was really good but there wasn’t enough custard. Pudding was better than the beer, which was quite good. DId anyone say ’thin hop veneer’?

On tap pours nice clear gold amber with decent white head aroma is full notes of pine lemon line and grapefruit. Taste has malty base overlaid with rich hoppy bitterness that last and lasts with some sour citrus notes. Good mouthfeel. Refreshing. A very decent pint

Cask at The Vaults, Knowle, Solihull. Clear golden brown pour with a thin frothy white head. Malty aroma with a bitter malty slightly sour taste with some bitterness lingering on the palate. A really flavourful, satisfying ale where that palate bitterness really refused to go away. All that was missing was the roaring open fire!

Cask @ The Hengler’s Circus JDW. Amber, orange brown colour, reasonable head. Citrus resin hop aroma. Cereal citrus resin malt flavour. Bitter aftertaste. Reasonable blonde beer.
