Ghost Ship is a ghostly pale ale which takes its inspiration from Adnams 600-year-old haunted pub, The Bell. Brewed with a selection of malts - Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara. We use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours. Bronze Medal Winner at The International Brewing Awards 2013 and Silver Medal winner at the 2014 International Beer Challenge (Contains barley & rye). Available (pasteurised) in 500ml bottles and 440ml cans.

Clear copper coloured with a medium sized good lacing white head. Dominated by citrus hop notes, light grain, straw. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, light/medium sweet and medium bitter. Light dry finish. Perhaps a bit one dimensional but taste is pleasant and it drinks pretty easy.

Tap @ JB Aalborg. Pour clear dark yellow/light orange, with a small white head. Aroma of hay, slight straw, grass, faint caramel, faint orange zest. The taste is surprisingly sweet up front, but has plenty of bitterness from middle and out. Watery body, with the typical British flat carbonation. Meh tbh. Hot dang.

Appearance- golden, with a one finger white head, which leaves some lacing. Aroma- hops, lemons, a bit of malt, some citrus, fruity. Taste has more fruit, a malt backbone, bitter hops in the finish. Medium mouthfeel. A good ale.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2015 Cask at Head of Steam in Dyrham. Nicely surprised, poured light gold colour, flat as every descent British ale should be. Great thick and creamy head, but didn?t last log unfortunately. Great taste of hops and fruits. More ales like this please.

I had this at a bar at Heathrow on a stopover to Amman. The cask pour was a bright, hazy and sparkling gold with a creamy, frothed off white head. The nose is fresh with bright citrus fruit notes as well as light spice hops. The flacvour profile is well balanced with a light toasty malt profile and a bit of hop and citrus tartness. Overall, not a bad brew at all

Small offwhite creamy head. Slightly hazy brown body. Fruity grape aroma with resiny floral notes. Dry-sweet caramelly grape taste with strawy floral notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, flat mouthfeel, slightly oily. Dryish dusty grape and citrus aftertaste with resiny strawy notes. Lovely and highly drinkable. (0.568l cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen.)

Pale with a distinct hop aroma but as others have said, not overly citrusy. Good level of bitterness but I have to say, I found it a little thin. The strong aroma however makes it quite a drinking experience.
