Hand pulled cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW) Watford. Amber with a lively off white head. Impressively hoppy in an American way and well balanced against a clean malt profile. Grapefruit and lime with a lovely oily resinous swallow. Excellent!
4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Hugh (148) - Zillebeke, BELGIUM - AUG 16, 2012
Draught in Waterbeach, Cambs. Ordinary looking amber beer, slight fruity nose. Then comes one of the best real ales I’ve had in years. Just a delightful bitterness with fruit tones. Nothing overstated, and that is where its beauty lies.Well done, Adnams!

Golden, clear, thin bubbly white head; aroma of fruit and malt; malty, slightly sweet with hops imparting quenching citrus fruit flavours - grapefruit and perhaps some lemon; bitter finish; moreish.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 wheresthepath (1285) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2010
[Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading] Amber-gold with a small white head. Biscuit, hazelnut and a good, well balanced pithy grapefruit bitterness. A bit of pine in the finish brings sweetness to the palette. Unusual for Adnams in being hop rather than malt-led, but unlike many hoppy beers it’s still well balanced with malt giving a satisfying mouthfeel. Great stuff!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gary (1132) - Rochester, Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 11, 2012
(Cask @ Coopers , Rochester) A vibrant beer I could drink loads of , sweet malts upfront ,emphasis , juicy dry , then my palate gets a reward of really fruity hop aromatics (lime and grapefruit) ;very fitting to drink on a pre-Spring kinda Spring day .

The Larry, Nuneaton. Beer of The Festival So Far for me, but I’ve only just realised there’s a festival on. Brilliant gold, pure white slick. Juicy, honeyed grapefruit and lemon rind aroma-8. Soft and perfumed with well-wrung green hop notes, passion fruit, lychee and lime. Cashew afters, and a suggestion of coriander. Never expected this kind of quality from Adnams.

Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet. Amber with a thin white head; fresh citrus aroma with perhaps a hint of lime; sweet and biscuity with some chewy malts and a sharp grapefruit bitterness followed by a clean and dry finish. Very pleasant.

Cask handpull at Muggletons, JDW, Maidstone. Hazy gold. Lasting off white head. It’s a wheat beer. Some good hop, I like the wheat flavours, good wheat beer flavours, some tangerine orange fruit. I thought this was very good. Good nick too. Very drinkable
