Cask; Regular. Originally a special but was made permanent.
Note: The original version of this beer used Pale Ale malt, Crystal malt, Munich & some Wheat malt and the hops were specified as Columbus, Chinook & Citra.

At 4.5% abv, this Pale Ale has a good assertive pithy bitterness and a malty backbone. It is brewed with a selection of malts – Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara – we use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours.

I really love this ale. A fruity, very pale and complex ale, that is quaffable enough to drink all night. This was my choice of Adams cask for my wedding day. 'Nuff said! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hand pulled cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW) Watford. Amber with a lively off white head. Impressively hoppy in an American way and well balanced against a clean malt profile. Grapefruit and lime with a lovely oily resinous swallow. Excellent!

Draught in Waterbeach, Cambs. Ordinary looking amber beer, slight fruity nose. Then comes one of the best real ales I’ve had in years. Just a delightful bitterness with fruit tones. Nothing overstated, and that is where its beauty lies.Well done, Adnams!

Cask at Head of Steam in Dyrham. Nicely surprised, poured light gold colour, flat as every descent British ale should be. Great thick and creamy head, but didn’t last log unfortunately. Great taste of hops and fruits. More ales like this please.

[Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading] Amber-gold with a small white head. Biscuit, hazelnut and a good, well balanced pithy grapefruit bitterness. A bit of pine in the finish brings sweetness to the palette. Unusual for Adnams in being hop rather than malt-led, but unlike many hoppy beers it’s still well balanced with malt giving a satisfying mouthfeel. Great stuff!

Golden, clear, thin bubbly white head; aroma of fruit and malt; malty, slightly sweet with hops imparting quenching citrus fruit flavours - grapefruit and perhaps some lemon; bitter finish; moreish.

Cask @ The Clarendon Leicester. Bright amber colour. Aroma is citrusy. Taste is nice sweet malt, with assertive but not overpowering hops with associated bitterness. Very nice this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
